Hey guys, I'm in the hospital following a homebirth because baby needed some observation. All good thankfully. But now having to deal with the paediatrician really...
The paediatrician is out of order. You do not have to prove that you are making an informed decision. It is up to her to cite the evidence and to accept your decision. Oral Vitamin K that is given in the hospital is the same stuff as the injection and full of the same preservatives etc. If you would like your baby to have it but not the hospital one there is a vegan one without preservatives called Neokay which may be more acceptable. You are entirely within your rights to decline Vitamin K if you choose. http://www.neokay.co.uk/productinformation.html

You don't need to source anything it's your choice - just say you don't want to discuss it! This is a great article though - good luck! http://www.livingwhole.org/synthetic-vitamin-k-shot/

Tell the paed you're getting your own that is chemical free. That's what we did. Then you can decide if you do actually want to or not! https://www.nutri-link.co.uk/shop/bio-k-mulsion-500 mcg-per-drop-x-30 ml.html

If so start taking spirulina it's got over a third of your daily value of vit k in one dose. I buy it on the natural news site. Look for organic cold pressed spirulina. I had to fight at the hospital so that my son did not receive any vaccines. They are all such idiots (SHEEPLE). He is a year and meeting all milestones early healthy and happy. Thanks to NO vaccines. Hope this helps.

This site is quite useful, Jasmine, for places to get singles in the UK http://www.jabs.org.uk/single-vaccines.html
Dr Primavesi offered the single vaccines but doesn't believe the 3 in 1 is dangerous....don't think you can get the measles or mumps one in the uk anymore. Let me know if you want his number x
Isobel M. replied:
Jasmine Rose Oberste LAc. As I said, I think the policy for UK health is that singles are no longer shipped and stored. However, some private enterprises keep them, although they face increasing pressure to stop.
Méryam S. replied:
Here is a clinic in Central london offering single jabs, recommended by several dulas and independent midwives: http://www.babyjabs.co.uk./ As per de hell prick, good to say it loud if you're against and they're good at respecting your choices. My second birth in the UK was at home and made things much easier! Hope this helps. M
Sophia A. replied:
I'm sorry - BUT - why vaccinate your children at all??? insanity - children's illness are not dangerous if they are well nourished - my daughter hasn't been vaccinated and caught the usual lot and now has a natural immunity - personal awareness makes the choice of course - and since when can you be taken to court for this sort of thing anyway??? is it a legal requirement to vaccinate your children … corporate fascism is here in that case … alarming. and to answer the question - go to Ann Coxon - she is on Harley Street and a very experienced Medico Legal as well as a brilliant doctor - she''ll sort you out . and for God's sake - advise your client, if she is going to fight - then fight for future health of the child - vaccine free healthy human - all multiple sclerosis sufferers of my generation had the flu jab … think about it …. they know and ask us about it when we are diagnosed. sic. courage !
Sophia A. replied:
well in that case Dr. Ann Coxon will do what you need in court - you don't get more expert than her - I've known her since I was a child in Sloane Square. She's a genius and v good in court.
Parents, would you be able to recommend a good private paediatrician who consults in St. Thomas' / Evelina? Someone good with ENT type of stuff. Thanks.
Katie B. replied:
Dr Nico Jonas. Fantastic paediatric ENT surgeon. He operated on my son when he was five months old as an NHS patient but I think he only does private work at st Thomas now. http://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/our-services/consultant-profiles/ent/nico-jonas.aspx

Has anyone heard of cranial osteopathy being damaging? Someone commented in another group about a pediatrician told her not to see a cranial osteopath as it's...
Emily S. replied:
McTimoney chiropractic is very gentle:) and incorporates cranial sacral therapy. Cranial sacral work can be done by osteo too, involves holding your head... That's as dangerous as lying your head in a pillow. Always best to go with trusted reccomended practitioner though. I believe the person suggesting it's dangerous has misunderstood or got confused somehow x

Hi guys, can anybody recommend a good private paediatrician around wapping please? I have really not been impressed with the gp's at the health centre - thanks!
Mardi W. replied:
I tried to find a private clinic that would take kids about a year ago. The closest I found was a clinic at Finsbury Circus, they are part of a group, http://www.genmed.org.uk/My father in law went to the tower hill clinic at Xmas (they don't see children), he said they were very good.
Antonia F. replied:
Portland Hospital - Great Portland St is excellent. you can look up their consultants on their website. They also have a Doc around the clock private service 24 hours a day, where you can see a Pediatrician in an emergency. Useful to know if you don't want to wait in A&E for hours. Cost is usually about £150. St John and Elizabeths in St Johns Wood also excellent.
Eryn R. replied:
I agree with Mary that Dr. Astruc at the surgery is very good if you can't find a private gp though you do need to book in advance for her as she's very popular.
