Anyone know a good 'furnace guy (or woman)'? My furnace is making some wonky noises (yes, technical term) and isn't able to keep the temperature up to what it should be....
Aramai replied:
I used Roy Inch and Sons before Christmas for a furnace tune up. Having never used them before, I was thoroughly impressed. The guy had no problems letting me watch what he was doing, telling me step by step what he was looking at and why, and gave me some rough estimates for future work I would need without hassling me about getting it done right now. He even took note of a bunch of parts in my file for that future work so it would be easier for me. On top of that, he asked me if I had seen their coupons (I hadn't) - he said 'just go print it off before I'm done and you'll get a % discount' (don't remember how much it was). As I said, it was the first time I had used them but I will definitely be going back to them in the future.

I rent, and my landlord uses [Salmon](http://www.salmonplumbing.ca/). I'm not sure of their price, but they always get the job done quick and well.

Odd question... does it try to start up 2 - 3 times and just not turn on at all for 12-24 hours?

We used Blake Exteriors. It took them a bit longer to come than planned because one of their staff had a non-work related accident when they were due at our place. They got the job done well and were very professional though.

Randy R. replied:
Shawn Terpstra at http://www.dhtelectrical.com. I had the pleasure of meeting him in a business networking group, and I have honestly not seen many people work as hard as he does. My folks had him install some electrical lines around the foundation of their house a couple of years ago, and he was shovelling a 2-foot trench in 35 degree weather. He was super professional. I would highly recommend him.
