L.A. Friends, I need a recommendation for an excellent gastroenterologist ASAP. Preferably closer to East side/Pasadena/Downtown, but will drive as far as Cedars....
Abigail M. replied:
Dr Michael E. Klein, MD at 1818 Verdugo Blvd in Glendale. 818-952-5332. Amazing gastroenterologist and does general internal med as well. I don't think the wait is that long to get into see him, but hard to say - everyone is trying to get in before the end of the year cuz deductible has been met, etc., so most doctors are slammed right now.
Celia A. replied:
Marian Fayman at Cedars, 310-248-8200. She got an Eastern-European thing going on... Very direct. Good luck. Feel better.
Susan H. replied:
You could try calling my old endocrinologist, Dr. Eli Ginsburg, and see who he refers. I saw a gastro person at Cedars who was great, but I can't remember the name. Dr. Ginsburg made the referral though.
Stephanie W. replied:
What is Dr. Raena Olsen, by chance? I have an apt with her ( referred by my ob) but it not till Jan. hate waiting that long.
Susan H. replied:
No--there was something funny about this guy's name, like he was Dr. Gross and dealt with gross stuff, or Dr. Smiley, but a little serious. I'm just not remembering! But Dr. G definitely had a network of Cedars specialty docs. I can try him tomorrow, if that helps. Maybe they can look in my file.
Looking for a good gastroenterologist for my 13 year old that has constant stomach aches.

April Hobbs-Moore, any suggestions in your area of expertise/familiarity? And Christopher, did you check out Children's Hospital of L.A., and UCLA pediatrics? Suppose others would mention USC's hospitals, but I'm more familiar with UCLA.
Rosangela C. replied:
Thank you Chris so much. we are also looking for a nutritionist who specialized in gastroparesis and eosinophilic gastritis. Rady's Children Hospital in San Diego specializes in Eosinophilic Gastritis but not motility. two separate issues unfortunately. once again, many thanks for your continued support and prayers.
