Orthopedic surgeon Beverly Hills I think he is knees and hips maybe more. I have another I see for my back Dr Sanjay Khurana in the Marina they all do sports medicine. They are excellent. You can call and get exactly what their specialty is and if they are not what you need there is usually someone in their group that is an expert in the part of the body that you need work on!

Any suggestions about which therapist to choose for pain (hypermobility type): Chiropractor, Osteopath, Physio, Massage therapist?
Adrian S. replied:
In my opinion/experience 100% Osteopath, but Massage is the best modality of therapy for me, and the one I can least get too, afford. A chiropractor nearly killed me, a D.O. saved my life, more than once. However other's have had different experiences about Chiro's so, to each there own. Mine had no clue what hypermobility was. Jumping on me like a football player was NOT helping me though. The D.O. in the beginning years, DID know what to do to help me, I just kept getting injured, and not even he knows EDS fully, I am doing to see Dr. Henderson in Bethesda MD.
Liza S. replied:
Depends on your issues. I LOVE my chiro (she has best friend with VEDS)...but if you have severe Chiari, surgery on spine it may not be for you. Massage IF you avoid the spa chains, find a multi-style practitioner with MANY years of experience (not a weekend course like some chains). A DO is diagnosed me and is a great choice for a primary care MD also. PT...ONLY if they study up on EDS and realized pain and flexibility is not the goal..stability is. Often a combo of more than one works best, depending on the tools each has. Osteo and chiro and massage may also offer cranial-sacral therapy, another great skill. But with ANY...you have to interview and question them and find one willing to listen/learn in the first place.
Things That Have Helped Me in the Last Six Years:
Health Care: Acupuncture, Chiropractor, General MD, Naturopath, Neurologist, Nutritionist, Osteopath,...
