Dr. Mayer Eisenstein is the best pediatrician in Chicago. He has 40,000 unvaccinated patients in great health.
Moving to the area and looking for family practice doctor and dentist recommendations. Who do you love and why? Thanks in advance.
Susan S. replied:
LOVE Dr Gregory Hillyard as my dentist. On State Rd. (610) 566-0291 Check out his ratings online - almost all 5-star. Small practice (him and one other dentist, I think). Pretty much always on time, like you walk in and they are ready for you, except on very rare occasions when you might wait like 5 minutes. Pleasant hygienists and Dr Hillyard is a really nice guy, plus does good work. Office staff is friendly and helpful.
Sheryl G. replied:
Dr. Cecchi is my dentist as well. Great, caring doctor and staff. Has latest technology and beautiful office.
Deepika J. replied:
We go to Penn Medicine at Media on State road for ourselves; and CHOP Care Network on Middletown Rd. for the kids. Love both places. Am still trying to find a dental practice for all of us. Currently we go to Penn Dental at Bryn Mawr; but that's kind of far...
Preets K. replied:
I use Dr Gyi Mo, he is off State Road, in the Penn Network, easy to make appointments, speak to on the phone, very personable, gives holistic tips before proposing OTC. And, he's super nice!

Dr. Jan Gavis on State Street--in the building across from Barrell Field. Love her!
Beth C. replied:
Penn Medicine on State Street by Glen Providence Park is great. I see Dr. Daniel Soffer and he is wonderful. All the doctors are good.
Michelle D. replied:
Jan Gavis. My previous doctor recommended her and I just had my first appointment with her this week. She took her time. It was the most in depth physical I have ever gotten. She checked to see if my shoulders lined up, checked the strength of my fingers etc That was all new. I was used to just having my weight, blood pressure, ears and eyes checked. She gave real answers to my questions, considered what I had to say and made an effort to address my health issues with diverse solutions.
Sheila B. replied:
I also go to Penn Medicine on State Street, and it has been great. My doc is Gyi Mo -- very thorough and the nurses are great. They also have a cardiology practice and some physical therapy in the same building.
Patty D. replied:
Penn Medicine - I see Dr. Wertheimer - also good
Tina O. replied:
Agreed - Penn Medicine is the best- also good hours for folks who work - evening hours and will do blood draws early mornings and also by appointment on weekends.
Mike D. replied:
I got to Dr. Joseph Hope in Riddle Hospital great doctor!
Michele R. replied:
Jan Gavis, she takes her time, listens, and you can call in with your symptoms if you need a prescription instead of having to make a visit every time, saves on the copays
Liz C. replied:
Dr. Carl Meyer at Penn Medicine in Media.
Elizabeth S. replied:
We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Peter Nonack with Penn Care Internal Medicine in Media at the end of State Street. 610-565-8600. Try to stick with a Philadelphia based health system like Penn or Main Line Health, teaching city hospitals. We are too close to Philly to not take advantage of the best.
