Does anyone have an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in lower back/disc/ S.I. joint issues that they would recommend? I would like to get a second opinion before...
Mary G. replied:
Tom Perlewitz. I didn't have the surgery but of the five folks I consulted with, he would have been my choice, both in terms of reputation of skill and personality. His office is at Mayfair.
Baba J. replied:

Lisa M. replied:
Dr. Rory Wright. He's not a 'cutter' meaning he looks at surgery as a last option.
Lorraine G. replied:
Dr.Jon Barry He is in the clinic on Layton across from the fruit store.
Mary R. replied:
Kate, check and see if your insurance covers Dr. Jamie Edwards on Rawson ave. He does injections which are helpful.

Benjamin L. replied:
For the record, I would go to Dr Langenkamp. And when Amy Langenkamp tells me that sociologists don't do knees, I would go see her dad...
Jen M. replied:
My mom (who works in the medical field in Milwaukee) says that Dr Mike Anderson at Aurora is the 'go to" guy.
Kara B. replied:
My brother recommends Dr. Carole Vetter. She not only repaired his ACL (but sort of recreated it due to all the damage he had), she specializes in them & female athletes apparently. He said he was off crutches after 11 days post OP. My brother is Kirk Domke if you are interested in first hand reference. Good luck!!! Pretty sure there are a bunch of very qualified doctors in the area, thankfully!
Meg P. replied:
I had Dr, Raasch with Froedtert. He also works in the practice with Dr Vetter.
Any one have a good orthopedic surgeon suggestion?
Kristin G. replied:
My brother works with a lot of them and my family all sees Dr. Geoff Stephany at Orthepedic Hospital of Wisconsin
Anne S. replied:
I've seen Dr. Rory Wright at Orthopaedic Hospital of WI both times I've needed an ortho. He's really good. And their PT/OT people at OHoW are really great.
