Our 7-year old son just started lessons with James Wengrow (http://www.jameswengrow.com/). We haven't met James ourselves, but he seems professional and our son really enjoyed his first lesson. He came to our place but he also has space available to teach.
Looking for a private guitar teacher whoever knows of anyone please comment below or pm me thanks

Rina Friedman. If, for whatever reason you need a guy teacher, check out the ad for Todd Moskowitz in the back of this week's Front Page magazine, in the classifieds.

I do a class called Vocal Mash-Up. We do some basic vocal training - vocal warm-ups, work our solfege and rhythm reading, etc. But I choose rep that the kids really like. Then for their project they work in small groups to learn a song of their choosing. They either prepare a recording of it, or video, or do live performance at our showcase. I also usually finish with a mash-up of a good choir piece of my choosing with a contemporary song of their choosing. We have done Shake It Out with Shanendo, we have done O Danny Boy with Demons by Imagine Dragons. We play around with the arrangement - the kids always get really psyched when we sing their song with a rich choral accompaniment.
