anyone know a great SAT tutor who doesn't charge a huge hourly fee?

We found a great tutor (not SAT) on a site called nextguru.com. You have to sort through profiles but it's worth a shot for finding someone reasonable.

Advantage Testing is the best. Paul Siemens runs the L.A. office, but he used to work in their Manhattan office. I'm sure he can put you in touch with the right people. They are the best in the business, seriously.

Looking for a SAT tutor or prep course near New Hyde Park that will not cost me an arm and a leg. Any suggestions??

Did you check with your high school? The high schools my kids went to were given discounts to Kaplan and/or Princeton Review through their school...Daniel also had a private and a semi- private tutor for the ACTs
