After living here for 5 1/2 years I have decided it is probably time to find a Primary Care Physician for myself. Anyone have any suggestions?

Okay, I'm intrigued. Dr. Rickner is with a direct primary care group now in Yukon- no insurance or third party pay involved at all. I'm going to a free consult tomorrow at 1:30 pm to ask questions about what is covered in the $59/month fee and what will be out of pocket. Their clinic is called Primary Health Partners, and they'll be open soon in The Commons, near Integris in Yukon. Thanks John Whitaker for the referral. I wanted to start with a physician who is also a triathlete, and Brian Coleman with OU sounded great, but I was on hold for over 10 minutes, just trying to call and inquire if he is accepting patients and if he's a BCBS provider. Too bad, I thought he sounded great too.
Beth S. replied:
Our Doctors are Greg and Lydia Dennis (married). He runs marathons and she is so attentive and thorough. They are in Yukon on Mustang Rd. I can look up the number if you need me to.

Emmy I'm not sure where you guys live but Todd Krehbiel in Edmond is a general and he's was a college athlete not particularly endurance but he was an athlete. If you talk with him feel free to tell him you know me it won't get you anything but he is a friend
Daniel D. replied:
I had the same issue with my old doctor. I spent some time searching and found Brian Coleman. Works at OU Physicians. Turns out when I met him, he is also a triathlete, marathoner, Redman athlete. Been seeing him for a couple years now and it's nice to have a doctor that knows an athletes body but also understands a triathletes warped mind. http://findadoc.oumedicine.com/brian-r-colemanFamily Medicine/Sports Medicine Areas of Expertise: Endurance athletes musculoskeletal ultrasound combative sports sports medicine injuries

My other friend says: "I used Dr. Lauren Hopkins at Mercy Clinic. She was easy to talk to and thorough. I do have to add that my sister ran into a scheduling problem there not long ago. But that might have been a vacation/fluke thing."
