Thank you all very much for the recommendations. It sounds like Dr. Duree comes highly recommended. It's great to know she has large breed experience Susan McClintick and while I know it may not completely resolve the problem, any improvement would be great. He's still a young dog at 5 and I want to help improve his mobility as much as possible now.

I use Dr. Duree. She is great with the dogs. I started using her for myself too.

Check out Dr. Vernon Millspaugh. He has both people and animal certification. Hes located in Edmond. He has a facebook page Millspaugh Animal Chiropractic. My family's used him for about 6 years and he's great. We haven't had to use him for our dogs yet but I wouldn't hesitate to call.

Dr Willa Duree in Shawnee is good. She comes into town a lot too.

My dog goes to Dr Willa Duree once a month when she comes to town at A1 Pet Emporium. She is great. Cost for 1 st time dog evaluation and treatment is $70, after that treatments are $50. My dog has improved her quality of life thru these treatments. Next time Dr Duree will be in Edmond is 10/2 at the Edmond A1. Her phone to make appt is 275-6363

I take my 10 yr old Swissy to see Dr Duree when she is at the Canine Sports Academy on the second tues of the month. She has been seeing her for two years now. And she loves her. Swissies are large breed and she was having issues getting up and down to the point I bought her a help up harness. After seeing her I haven't had to use the harness yet. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a miracle cure. She still has her old dog moments. No matter where you go make sure they are aware of your dogs diagnoses. You might look into acupuncture also. I have never used it but I know several swissy owners that have on dogs with spin issues.

My cousin from Kansas City has been a chiropractor for animals for many years and she recommended Dr. Willa Duree. She has done amazing things with my fluff ball.

Thomas Jannsen at McBride did mine this last March and i had 4 tares and the maniscuss was moved over and had to have some work. (I know maniscuss isn't spelled right)

Dr Corey Ponder did my surgery and did a great job. Very caring and great bedside manner.

Dr Gieb did matts surgery. He is also with OSSO IN the Edmond office

Dr John Anderson at orthopedic associates. He has set all of Tanners broken bones and also done all surgeries on myself and Tanner.

Depending on the body part. Dr David Holden at McBride Orthopedic has been my knee dr for 24 years or so and done all 4 of my surgeries... 10 or 11 between me and my accident prone mom one for my dad and grandma. I would ask around about other body parts because I don't know about ortho surgeons for other parts.

Dr William Puffinbarger Children's. He has done Hayden's four knee & femur surgeries.

I highly recommend Dr. Brad Vogel. He's in Norman not OKC but he's great!

The one I used for my knee is great. Look up Dr Keith Gannaway. I really liked him when I tore my MCL, mostly bc he didn't jump to the surgery option.

We send ours to Dr Langerman, SW Orthopedics. It's his speciality.

Okla Ortho Institute. Norman. Our Ortho specialized in upper extremity& other dr is PM&R. Dr Langerman's PA use to work here while she was in school, she's a jewel!

Dr. Coupins. He has an office off SW 104 th and Western at OSSO. He did my knee surgury

Langerman has done both her knee replace. Shoulder surgery and her broken ankle

RJ Langerman is a great choice. Don't know how I forgot about him, but I've seen several of his patients over the years.

Sorry no one posted any help for you. I had Dr. McLemore at Memorial hospital do my knee surgery and was impressed with her. Instead of doing a knee replacement, she repaired the torn tendon. There are several other good orthopedic surgeons in with her. Hope he does well.

They fixed three different screw ups with Mother from Memorial the first time... As someone who practiced in Lawton for over 40 years told me: "All the good doctors in Lawton are visiting or buried here..." I witnessed a woman being brought into surgery who hadn't walked in over a year. They had her up an walking the next day. Blue Cross and Medicare paid 100% of the bill.

Thanks Kim Stafford Loehr and Joe Hagler. We found that it is too high to be considered a 'ankle' injury and have gone with Dr. Kirk at CCMH ortho. It's going to be a long road....

Coming from a long time jacked up knee veteran.. The key is working ur azz off at PT.. U can have the best surgeon in the world but if u fail at ur PT - surgery is moot.. I was born without patellas and my long bones were short.. And I don't limp except when I'm tired .. Because my PT was aces!

Autumn Dr Coupens is who did Ally's shoulder surgery. He is great! He has always explained things clearly to her & was great with Greg & I after her surgery showing & explaining what he did. As for knees, I have no idea.

On the last 35 yrs- I have over million $ worth of legs.. 4 reconstructions followed by total replacements on both sides and mega amount of "clean outs".. Cory Mayo did my last clean out and my range of motion improved ALOT! He did my dad's total hip and pop was back doing HD construction within 5 wks..

Calvin Johnson is good too..... but he does not do total knees which I am sure she won't be needing
