We LOVE Dr Trent Smith... He is at Baptist Medical bldg. My Daddy is 89, diabetic and barely ambulatory. Dr Smith does his toenails at his appts - and medicare does NOT cover it- and he doesnt charge my Dad. I cannot think of any other Dr that does that -just to be nice:)

I guess I need recommendations for podiatrist with experience with runners and an orthopedic doctor for help with pain between the scapula's that doesn't go away. Thanks...
Rocky C. replied:
Dr Nicholas Plants was the podiatrist that helped out at "24 The Hard Way". For scapular pain/discomfort, it may be that your pec muscles are tight & contracted (due to being in the aero position on your bike for hours at a time). You can either have a (sports) massage therapist stretch out your pec's and/or do some muscle activation work on your rhomboids (which are overstretched b/c the pec's are tight).
Hey everyone- I need a optometrist, dermatologist and podiatrist in the OKC area. Any recommendations? I have VERY good insurance, so I'm pretty much looking for the...
Dr. Grau at St. Anthony's dermatology. She is fantastic and will follow a problem until she finds the solution. Not your average doc. You'll have to call now for a new patient appointment in a couple of months. And if you need an appointment more quickly, you can see her PA in the meantime. But keep the appointment with Grau. She's that good.
Kim W. replied:
Optometrist- Dr. Boaldin. He's the best.
Bryan G. replied:
"Cutty" Pete - runs a little operation just under the overpass by Lincoln and Reno. He's not too picky about which practice you need (as long as you pay up front in his "currency" of choice), and once that first belt hits those hands are steady as a rock.
Felix L. replied:
Midtown Optical...ask for Dr. Greenhaw. He's good people. That's where my son and I get our Ray-Bans.
David W. replied:
My optometrist is Dr. Robert Cooper. He was our next door neighbor for 9 years. He is super nice and I would recommend him highly.
Michelle M. replied:
If you want an amazing orthopedic foot specialist, go see Dr. Joel Davis at orthopedic associates. He is one of very few certified foot specialists in OKC. He is amazing- put my foot back together for me. Also, he will take as much time with you as you need so he answers all questions you have. He will not rush you.
Jessica R. replied:

Jessica M. replied:

Susan U. replied:
I was at Midtown Optical last week for the first time and they were all so nice and just great. Go there.

Dr. Nelson is great. When I saw him about a year ago, his office in Elk was in the grey building across from United Supermarket. His main office is in Clinton (where I called for appt).
Michelle C. replied:
Dr. Bradley Nelson. I think he comes to elk a couple of times a week.
Myra B. replied:

William R. replied:
Dr Jim Flynn has helped me with plantar faciatis and toenails
Julie K. replied:
I really like Dr. Boehm at Oklahoma Sports & Orthopedic Institute (OSOI). In my experience, I've had better luck with a sports orthopedic doctor rather than a podiatrist in similar situations. I'm sure it's not a characteristic of all podiatrists.... but the few that I have seen were very pro-surgery.
Mark B. replied:
If you are looking for a free opinion, I would be more than happy to look at it for you and give you my two cents. If you are looking for a doctor, I use dr Megan Mier with OSOI, she is one of my docs for OKC ballet and we see a lot of first toe issues
