Tracey R. replied:
Yep, Dr. Langerman did mine, too! And I'm about to have a second one probably at the beginning of the year. He is wonderful and when I didn't have insurance for a brief minute, told me to call him if I hurt my knee. Even have me his cell. Such a nice guy!! (And he is on walker....right down from academy....pretty close. )

We have some really good ones at Norman Jamie. We aren't an orthopedic center of excellence for nothing!
does anyone remember driving out to 150th to see the house that looked like a cat and a crazy brain surgeon lived there?
Jan B. replied:
Nazih Zudhi-- he's a top-notch heart-lung transplant doctor
Angela L. replied:
Dr. Zudhi performed the first heart transplant in Oklahoma. I worked with him and his crew in the late 80's. He is a very very intelligent man and funny too. My dad works at the air port and ran into the good Dr. about a month ago. He is doing well but memory is not the same. He has not been doing transplants for many many years. I will always feel that it was a honor to work with him during my nursing career.
I have a friend who needs a referral for a TMJ surgeon/specialist???? Norman/Okc area.
Melony E. replied:
Dr. Talley. He is in. Norman. He is one of two in the nation. He treated my Dtr who had horrible TMJ. He does not do or recommend surgery. She wore a top & bottom retainer he made her. It took a year & she did exactly as he said, and her TMJ is fixed. He's out of network forNRH, but takes Global & all other ins that pays better. We paid $4800. It was worth it to get my child out of pain & stop having her jaw pop. They say surgery doesn't really work. There's 2 Drs in Norman who do surgery & takes NRH ins. Dr talley looked at my Dtr from the back & told use she had slight scoliosis, which we had not told him. He said the TMJ could be from that, or a hard blow to the head. We figure it might be from having her mouth over extended while getting braces. None the less. She is cured & we have been done with it a few years. She has to wear her bottom retainer the rest of her life I think.
