I would recommend Endless Possibilities. Its an old-school gym with tires and ropes and such. One on one training. http://www.eptsomaha.com/

I go to crossfit at unrelenting crossfit in papillion area. I think if you decide to do crossfit its a fun way to workout. Reply or pm me if you have questions. URCF does a 1 week free trial and they also have a groupon usually for a discounted first month. Its labeled as on-ramp but its really just entering the normal class and then having extra attention and coaching to get you up to speed safely.

Depends which part of Midtown. If you're closer to downtown I would highly recommend Pinnacle. That facility is awesome.
stryker_pcb replied:
OP, I live downtown and go to Pinnacle. The pool is excellent. Dumbbells up to 100 lb, and a decent free weight area. Multiple squat racks, shoulder press, smith machine, etc. Suits my needs well when I don't lift on base.
TheoreticalFunk replied:
You're not going to find a lap pool anywhere near that area, AFAIK. I do go to Prairie Life that's in Midtown Crossing. They have locations out west that have pools, but I've never gone so I wouldn't know.
Looking for a gym with a nice indoor track to use. Recommendations?
Mary S. replied:
Prairie Life Fitness on 132 nd & center and 84 th & Q have indoor tracks but you will run a lot of laps since it isn't real big;
Shari B. replied:
Jewish Community Fitness Center. Great indoor track.
Katie E. replied:
Jewish Community Center (JCC). Two indoor tracks. Two swimming pools outside one is 50 meters, indoor one is 25 yards.
Shanon K. replied:
https://www.facebook.com/124216697657217 Nebraska Elite Sports & Fitness Complex has one but it is 12 laps for a mile.
Katie E. replied:
Jewish Community Center. And no you do not have to be Jewish.
Mariana P. replied:
If you know a service person who would accompany you--the Field House at Offutt has the BEST inside track ever--2 1/2 times around for a mile, and you are running past lots of interesting things going on--people playing basketball, lifting weights, etc. There are several mothers with strollers.

http://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/tips/how-to-choose-an-indoor-bike-trainer I have a cycleops wind trainer. It has noise but I dont think it is terrible. Depends on how much money you want to spend. I got mine off of craigslist. I use old tires, never use your good tires on the trainer.
