Anyone in the Orlando/Central Florida area? Looking for some recommendations for a decent neurologist. Mine is an arrogant, condescending a**hole
Daryl G. replied:
Hey Tracy Wallen Stanley in the Tampa area I previously saw Dr. Krolcyck that was at USF Morsani Hall. And when he left I am now with Dr. Casicone at the South Tampa Neurology Department. Very informative and listens to your concerns he only sees MS patients.
Daryl G. replied:
No problem; the number is 813-872-1548. When you call ask for Annette she handles all his patients and will get you in.
Jill W. replied:
I have a great MS specialist in Melbourne. Dr. Scott Gold. He would totally be worth the hour drive from Orlando.
Lisa C. replied:
Moyaah S. Karraker he is wonderful! He listen, does the normal exam wvertime you see him, dictates infront of you. He runs something along the lines of an ms clinic, has a nurse that only works with ms. I hope you love him as much as I did!

Dr. Jacobs http://www.orlandoneurological.com/physicians.shtml I dealt with a serious issue a couple of years ago. He is not very personable right away but he is very comforting and knowledgeable.

Latal Bansal is alright. She's not the nicest person, but she seems smart enough. I'd like to know any good ones, too.
Mandiek replied:
If you find one, let me know. Seriously, I have MS and unless I agree to do the daily shots, no doctor will treat me. It's disgusting how dr's are run by the pharmaceutical companies.
Slim pickins' here in town. We used Carl Barr. There is also Ron Davis. I know many people that go out of the area.
Brenda B. replied:
We used Dr. Davis. Really liked him and he is very kind. His office used to be in Metro West but not sure if he is still there any longer.
Sherri C. replied:

We saw Dr Ronald Davis (Pediatric Neurologist/ Epilepsy Center of Orlando) when we lived there. His office is off of Sand Lake Road. I think he was voted best Ped. Neurologist in Orlando?? He was very nice and his PA was too.
Paige C. replied:
We use Dr. Davis.
Donna L. replied:
Dr. Rathinam with Kids Neuro Care. Two offices - one in Kissimmee and one near UCF. I would highly recommend her.
Anyone know of a good neurologist in central Florida? Went to one last week that was awful. It is so hard to find one that wants to follow up with tethered cord syndrome.
Traci H. replied:
Have you tried Dr. Trimble in Orlando? He's a neurosurgeon but specializes in chiari and eds.
Patricia F. replied:
I see Dr. Trumble for neurosurgery but he recommended I follow up with a neurologist as he only does the surgery piece. I went to one that told me there wasn't anything he could do and gave me more medication for the pain. I don't want someone to try t o fix this just someone who will follow my condition and try to make sure it does not get any worse. This is really frustrating, there are literally no programs out there for adults with SB and TSC!!
Traci H. replied:
Well that is what Dr Trimble does for me. I don't see a neurologist. I travel down to Orlando twice a year and see Trimble. I got MRIs twice a year and he monitors me. I have not had surgery yet. Do you have Chiari too? I think I have TCS but not sure. That's what I'm talking to him about next week. Will Dr. T do TCS surgery?
Linda M. replied:
Dr. Villalobos in Orlando did my TCS surgery. He was a great and caring NS. The neurologist had told me that i had lived with the problem for over 50 years and there wasn't much that could be done. When i first got the results of an MRI my orthopedic doctor couldnt explain it to me and the neurologist he sent me to told me to go home and research it on the internet! When the nerve pain got so bad it prevented me from walking my orthopedic doctor advised surgery but couldn't recommend anyone who could do it. My insurance company was able to help me find a good NS. As far as a neurologist for follow up I've never seen one I was impressed with.
Patricia F. replied:
Yeah, I haven't found one I have been impressed with either. Dr. Trumble has been great and I will see him again in six months. All the neurologists just stink though.
Tina B. replied:
I talked to a very nice NS there.. Dr. Lawson at Shands
Anyone know of a good neurologist in central Florida?
Ashley M. replied:
Dr Barr. Carl Barr. Is an amazing neurologist. But I'm not sure if he sees adults and kids or only kids. It's worth a call to fine out. He's truly brilliant.
Kayla M. replied:
Jessica Moore no "like" for your suffering, but for the tip!
