Dr. Castaldo in Brownwood Villages location. He is amazing with stellar credentials. I have a neurologist muscular disease that is not very common and he was fantastic for me. Really patient. Listens very attentively and doesn't have that God complex so many brain docs tend to have. I have seen my fair share! Really worked with me to meet me where I am and very compassionate!

Home→Collections→Prescription Drugs Villages neurologist Dr. Sheri Hamnik sentenced to probation for DUI 1:38 p.m. EST, June 27, 2012| By Ludmilla Lelis, Orlando Sentinel Dr. Sheri Hamnik, a Leesburg neurologist who had worked in The Villages, has been sentenced to one year probation for a DUI in Fruitland Park. Two other misdemeanors, for unlawful possession of prescription drugs, were dropped because the 46-year-old doctor had lawful prescriptions for them. Her attorney, John Spivey, said a plea for the DUI charge was in her best interest. "All things considered, she didn't want to wait for a trial," Spivey said. "She wanted to resolve it and move on."

I answered in another post that I take my 92 year old mother to Dr. Jay Rubins office on441 in the Villages. We do not see Dr Rubin, but rather his PA a Mr. Lubin. So far happy with her care. Nice office staff, kind, competent PA and confers with Dr Rubin when necessary. Otherwise there is Dr Smirinoff who I have heard is competent, but do not know him. Maybe Shands!!!! Good luck!
Christine W. replied:
We did initially have to visit Dr Rubins Ocala office, but now only go to the Villages office.
Becky C. replied:
My husband had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Smirnoff. Do not under any circumstances go to him. Go to Florida Hospital in Orlando! Plead your case and you will probably get in. Be forceful!

Dr. Bagdash in Sharon Morse Bldg
Karen G. replied:
My husband goes to Shands. They are excellent. He sees Dr. Maria Hella for a seizure disorder. Mayo Clinic is also very good, he had an excellent doctor there as well, it’s a very long drive for an office visit. He went to Dr. Smirnoff for a very short time. He was referring us to Shands for some procedures, so we decided to cut the “middleman”, and just go to Shands.
