Couldn't rate highly enough. Fills quickly though so would need to book in as soon as you find out you're due. X good luck!!
Joanna G. replied:
S: Dr Melissa O'neil delivered my first 2 babies and will deliver my 3 rd at the end of the year. She has been outstanding for all 3 pregnancies and is very laid back, friendly and honest. I'd highly recommend.
Perth K. replied:
S Dr Love or Dr Aitken at SJOG subi, they both book out very quickly so the second you get a positive test you need to book them! I had all 4 of mine with Dr Love.

Dr Jose is brilliant, but I have noticed you might be waiting a while to see him, Midwife Michelle is really good, I have also seen Sally at the same practice, my last pregnancy I was going to Dr rasool, although he was highly recommended I felt like I was just another number where as Dr Jose makes you feel more welcomed.

Dr Jose is always late cos he's delivering babies at the same time as having appointments. But I've never had to wait more than about 10 mins in the actual clinic as they have this system where you wait at home & they ring you when there's just 1 person in front of you.

If you would like to try some alternative medicine before doing surgery, there is an amazing lady who is very knowledgeable with all things womanly. Her name is Chelinay Gates and she is a Dr. of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She helped me after 7 miscarriages / losses, and it was all to do with things going on in my uterus that the doctors never even picked up. She is up in Darlington and her website is www.chelinaygates.com
Suzie B. replied:
Read the book Healing Fibroids, A doctors guide to a Natural Cure. Allan Warshoesky, MD and Elena Oumano. In August I'm off overseas to do a Womb healing, fertility Massage course and have started healing myself and after a failed surgery to remove my fibroids. Now all they want to do is remove my uterus. If you also read Christaine Northup, Women's Body women's wisdom, you will never contemplate having you uterus removed, it is too essential. Especially for cognitive function later in life...

T asks:
Hi guys just wondering if anyone could let me know what dr anna Holmes is like as an obstetrician ? Thanks in advance
E asks:
Hi, not really kiddie related but...
Emma B. replied:
T- I had Anna Holmes for baby 2 and 3 after baby 1 had a stroke during labour thanks to poor care, she is no nonsense, straight to the point and doesn't muck about, she supported my choice to trial vbac and she and her nurse Marie were there with support and advice when I had complications with bub 3. She is expensive but if I have another baby ill be booking in with her! S - tippy toe walking can be caused by physical, neurological or developmental issues. I would get a referral to a paediatrician to get it checked. Don't ask for a referral, go in and tell the dr you are there for a referral
Fiona M. replied:
this is a nightmare if you dont deal with it......get a referral to the State Children's Health centre on riola st in West Perth.....toe walking can either be caused from neurological issues or by the fact child is above their hight range for their age. if possiblr start massaging the calves and get them to stretch their legs out and then push their feet back. if child doesnt grow out of it....then they will need serial casting.....Helen the physio at the Childrens health centre is amazing........saved us years of pain and future surgeries......
Karen K. replied:
Dr Holmes was my obstetrician for both my pregnancies and I highly recommend her.
Melissa B. replied:

I had Dr Holmes for my second baby. She is fantastic! I would thoroughly recommend her.
Nicole P. replied:
T-: I had Anna Holmes for both my boys, she s fantastic and makes everything seem like a breeze very calm and informative. I wouldnt want anyone else to deliver my babies!
Kate D. replied:
I had Anna Holmes and she was great! Much better than my previous ob! She is very clinical though, I could never get to to 'get' my silly jokes, but she was thorough and did the csec well!
Deb L. replied:
S - This link http://www.pmh.health.wa.gov.au/general/CACH/child_development_centres.htm will give you a list of child development centres within perth that are staffed by multi-discplinary teams that you can self refer to or get a gp referral. They can assess your child and decide on the cause and treatment of toe walking.
Lisa B. replied:
Anna Holmes was my ob for both my children and I absolutely loved her and would definitely recommend her. Her midwife Marie is just so lovely also and you're not charged for visits with her (making the overall cost to see Anna comparatively low when compared to other obs - at least it was back when I was researching for my first pregnancy). You'll need to book in quick though!
Sharon C. replied:
Anna Holmes delivered my first at Armadale private but we gave her a miss for the second as her pricing had gone up so much it was unbelievable !
Sarah A. replied:
Dr Holmes did both my deliveries and was fantastic
Wanda K. replied:
Anna Holmes was great for both of mine, I had a few complications which she organised education and referrals for. She is very straight to the point which I like.

2. Craig Pennell or Seonaid Mulroy - both at the same practice in Subiaco. Pennell deals only with high risk pregnancies. The practice also offers pre-conception appointments and advice for those expecting a high risk pregnancy.
Tash C. replied:
Dr Peter Kell in Mandurah was amazing with my son. I suffer from clots and had had an IUD inserted when I was 6 wks pregnant so was a high risk. When I went into labour he called me at home every day to see how I was doing.
Demitra R. replied:
2. Dr Louise Farrell in Subiaco head of obstetrics at SJOG Subi and vice-president of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Caitlin D. replied:
2. I would highly recommend Dr Simon Turner. His rooms are in Subiaco and delivers at SJOG Subiaco.
Joanne G. replied:
2. Can recommend Dr Michael Gannon at St John of God Subiaco. I had a high risk pregnancy and he looked after me. Good luck!
Cindy T. replied:
1. Love to Dream swaddle for sure, took my little a couple of days but loves it. 2. Dr Gannon... Brilliant!
Rachael P. replied:
2. Dorothy Graham in Murdoch took care of me. I can not recommend her highly enough. I've got several complex medical conditions and she's great.

Belinda D. replied:
Louise Farrell she was fantastic
Glorelid B. replied:
Anon I have three kids and the best experience of them all was delivering at SJOG in Subiaco. Dr John Love was the best obstetrician I've ever had. I started with him from the first weeks until delivery and post. He is amazingly good
Kirstin Z. replied:
Dr Gannon! he was wonderful for both of my births and also both of my friends births! a real family man! good luck:)
Alexi L. replied:
Dr Nic Tsokos. Both kids by him and one of the best, wouldn't even consider anyone else. Mid wives are fantastic as well. Listens to what YOU want to do - the midwives at SJGH actually have him too as their ob.

Melanie O. replied:
Dr Simon turner is brilliant!! Had him with both of my two and would only go to him in the future. He is caring but has a dry sense of humour (which I liked). He is also pro choice but will tell you the pros and cons for you to decide. He puts baby first no matter what though and will intervene if need be. He also trained Dr Love.
Naomi C. replied:
Dr Richard Murphy. Can't say enough good things about my journey and treatment. I have referred to two friends who had very different births but so pleased with him also. Good luck.
Angelica I. replied:
Love Dr Turner
Traci S. replied:
I had Helen Clark! She was amazing, there every step and soon knowledgable! I highly recommend her!
Jo W. replied:
(Response to Jennifer Thompson) - be careful with stats, a lot of older mums (myself included) go to SJOG Subi as the obs there are more experienced with complications (due to age, previous med conditions etc) so I wouldn't hold the private obs CS rate as gospel. I was never pushed (pardon the pun) to do anything other than a natural birth at SJOG.
Susan S. replied:
Dr Michael Gannon
Melissa S. replied:
Dr Love for both our girls I cannot recommend him enough. Very compassionate and happy to answer all your questions in a caring manner and never rushed no matter how behind he was running. His bedside visits after birth were also great.
Tracy G. replied:
Glen Lewis is amazing, loving caring and fantastic,
Kathy L. replied:
Why not phone up and make a time to tour KEMH family birth centre? I was going to deliver there - the midwives are amazing and you can birth in water if you choose. My daughter came 4 weeks early (the birth centre will only deliver term babies) so i had to transfer to the labour ward at King Eddys - but the care there was amazing too:)
Becky P. replied:
Dr Graeme Thompson is amazing:). He helped me get my miracle number 2, and ages due in 4 weeks now, couldn't of done it without him:)
Sammy W. replied:
Dr Simon Turner, straight forward but very very good - we had serious complications with DS1 and wanted a caesar. Simon was great and worked with us to achieve another natural birth with DS2 and as little intervention as possible...
Felicity C. replied:
Dr Tim Jeffery is amazing!! Delivered both my girls and with a complicated 1 st baby he was all for me getting the natural delivery I wanted. I think he has closed his books for new patients but always worth a try.
Annelise M. replied:
Dr Glenn Lewis - brilliant for all 3 of my deliveries & very professional. Known for 'no tears' and natural deliveries
Felicity Y. replied:
Dr Glen Lewis who's based in Subiaco. He's very stern but an amazing ob.
Louise C. replied:
John Love or Mike Aitken.... The best!!!
Leanne T. replied:
Dr Simon Turner. He was my obs. I was heading for a c/section due to foetal distress. He burst into my room and said right we're getting this baby out naturally and within 2 mins my boy was delivered. There was no time to panic. I have worked at SJOG for the past 10 years and did my research beforehand.
Sarah E. replied:
Michael Gannon in sjog is meant to be great
Valissa F. replied:
I had Dr Mike Aitken for both of mine and he was very caring and didnt rush me through my appointments, I had no drugs at birth either except gas. I would highly recommend him! Good luck as I know you have a lot to choose from! Xx
Kelly P. replied:
Dr Helen Clark, yes she is direct and no nonsense. by the time i had my third baby she came to see me every morning and let me cry! All the others sound great too from what I hear from friends. Subi was great. All the best!
Jacqui H. replied:
A few of my girlfriends had Dr Love and they adore him. Said he was beyond amazing and their pregnancies were ah a little interesting. I had his side kick Dr Aitken for both my cherubs and now as my gyno. He is awesome but very hard to get into. Their midwives and office staff are gorgeous as well. Don't think they'll go to the birthing centre though... Good luck with whatever path you take.
Linda Y. replied:
I had Dr Tim Jeffery for all 3 bubs (last bub born 4 months ago) and all were c-sections (med reasons). He is really good and always cheerful.
Amanda D. replied:
Dr Michael Gannon has been amazing through a great pregnancy for my 1 year old daughter and a recent loss! Highly recommended!
Lyndsey L. replied:
Helen Clarke, she is very no nonsense so I understand the comments about her bedside manner but once you get to know her she has a great sense of humour and is very caring. 3 births, all big babies, never a mention of a c section. I have several friends that have used her as well and all have been happy
K asks:

Melissa H. replied:
Dr Busch at Glengarry is fantastic. He delivered both of my beautiful girls:)
Kelly K. replied:
Dr Busch at glengarry:)
Belinda C. replied:
I had Susan Isdale for both of my kids. Two c-sections 14 months apart and I can't even see a scar 3.5 yrs later. The first c-section wasn't planned but was a good call by Susan, I'd highly recommend her. And as a bonus, if she's ever away then you see Margo who is great also. Good luck!
Nicole B. replied:
I used Catherine Harris at Glengarry very professional and you have a choice of what delivery you want etc. I ended up having an emergency cs and she acted very fast. The staff at glengarry were very friendly and amazing. I was an anxious first time mum so I had two mid wives look after me, as I was sooo scared lol
Jarae G. replied:
First baby was with Dr Cliff Neppe at Glengarry. Second baby public system Joondalup. Highly recommend Glengarry. Amazing hospital excellent staff food was good and bed was really comfortable. Neppe was excellent. Totally trusted him he made me feel very comfortable and in control. Joondalup was ok I couldn't sleep at all tho. Midwives were lovely but dr didn't seem to know anything. Food was disgusting.
Kristy S. replied:
Margo delivered my 3 rd baby 3 weeks ago. She is awesome! Also the new Joondalup Private Hospital is excellent. Go and have a tour to see it, they run them every Sunday.

Amy B. replied:
Margo Norman! She's at joondalup and fantastic! She was also our fertility specialist.
Lillian B. replied:
Cliffe Neppe was awesome! Love him so much infact that I travelled 6 hours each way to have him as my Ob!! Being in the country he bent over backwards for me and always called to check in me as I wasn't able to just pop in if needed! At the birth he was so happy and supportive will def go to him again!
Tiarn M. replied:
Another vote for Dr Busch. Such a caring, thorough doctor. He's on an out-of-hours roster with Dr Neppe as well....
