B - We did 7 nights mainland Singapore (York Hotel which is just off Orchard Rd) and took taxis to all the attractions (cheap, easy and convenient). Then went to Sentosa and did as much as possible over there (needed more than 3 nights though!). Break it into 2 if you can be bothered packing halfway through but don't need to as it is cheap to travel everywhere. DO NOT buy the Go Singapore pass. It advertises 5 places where you can use it for free entry. 1 has closed down, the other doesn't accept it so it is a waste of money. Also, don't go to Universal Studio on a weekend. Have a great holiday.

The park on the corner of Regent St and Beaufort in Mt Lawley is good - it's got the pagoda, a good well designed playground and toilets. It's not crowded like Yokine gets, and it's got a well designed space that means kids generally naturally stay in the playground area. D... maybe take your child for an eye test. My son used to trip all the time, and as soon as we got his glasses (at three) his falling over stopped immediately. Dr Lam is fantastic, but if your child isn't special needs then any pediatric optomestrist should be able to help.

B- we stayed at the Holiday Inn Atrium, not flash or exactly resort like but good and fantastic value for a family. Kids eat and stay free so no extras that were charged at most hotels over there. We got a large executive suite for the same price as a small room on orchard road and super easy to get cheap taxis everywhere. We also had access to the executive lounge with free food and free drinks in the evening, kids are welcome and even has an extra room where they can watch TV while you enjoy drinks the pool is basic but nice, food good, and service fantastic The best price for the hotel was through their hotel club which was free to join. For attractions we would google and buy deals online, as long as you purchased 24 hours in advance it saved a fortune. Also if young kids definately worth an overnight to Legoland.

Michelle Howell is amazing, both my kids have seen her, my son has been a patient of hers for over 6 years now and she has been nothing but understanding and patient and helpful, she also saved my daughters life when the doctors at peel kept misdiagnosing and sending her home. I couldn't recommend her any more highly, and yes she is expensive but the same price as all private peads, and there office do the Medicare rebate on the spot so your not that much out of pocket

Michelle Howell is absolutely amazing. She looked after all my 3 for different things. She diagnosed an infection with my daughter that no other doc could pin point. She saw the symptoms and immediately asked for a blood test for it and due to the quick diagnosis our little girl was on the mend much faster. Some people may not be all that impressed with her bedside manner but she knows her stuff and gets things done and that's what is important in the end.

Lovely person, very thorough and experienced doctor. I know you are looking for a paed NOR, but for anyone else who needs one SOR, don't be at all afraid to go public and see Dr Colin Derrick at Rockingham Hospital. We saw him when our son was under 1, and he was so lovely. He has a really gentle manner, he LISTENS to parents, and he is not slow to order extra testing when needed. We felt our son was not just one of a zillion little patients to him - you could see how genuinely he cared for him...he delighted in him so much I think he was almost ready to volunteer to babysit! The only down is that it's public, so you may have quite a wait to see him.

Willetton - Brolga Park just off The Quarterdeck is lovely and shady if you are wanting lush lawned areas. The play set is fairly basic but they have a half basketball court too. The playground in the centre of the oval off Apsley rd is pretty good too. Close to Willetton - lo Quay cafe near the riverton bridge has a nice nature playground. If you want to take their bikes Beasley park in leeming, piney lakes in Bateman or john creaney in bull creek are all pretty good in terms of paths. John creaney park is close (just off parry ave) and also has a large, fenced and shaded playground. Its close enough to get a take away coffee from the parry village shops too. Further afield Heathcote park in Mount Pleasant is great for older kids and the is coffee available. it can get pretty busy though. Gilberts or the Apsley fruit and vege are both good if you can't get to the markets. I also recommend Dr Joseph at Bull creek medical. I'm happy to see Dr Bleakley at the same centre.
