Home Depot and Lowes carries some. Most local and national furniture stores carry some as well. Ikea has some too.

If you want some 3 x5 ft. rugs or 5 x7 ft, there's a few Tuesday Morning stores in and around Pittsburgh. They're a retail store that specializes in discontinued and closeout products, which include various rug sizes. The only locations I can recall are Pleasant Hills (shopping center just below Century III), Bridgeville, and McMurray, and a few more that escape me. Most prices for a 5 x7 usually start around $75 to 100, and go from there. Hope that helps, and say hello if you're at the McMurray store.

There is a place on greentree road, Designer Furniture Outlet, that always has a sign up for "rug liquidation." Either them or keep an eye on slickdeals.net. Not too long ago they had 10$ rugs at Lowe's you could have done store pickup with.

I got mine at [Garden Ridge](http://www.gardenridge.com/) It's like a home/garden warehouse that sells stuff pretty cheap. Way cheaper than places like Levin.

If you're willing to invest in a good rug, you might have luck at [Weisshouse](http://www.weisshouse.com/products?cat=28). I've never purchased rug from there, but I did get my couch there. Expensive but worth it. It's a great shop.

Gilt.com gets great rugs for reasonable prices. Takes a while to ship sometimes tho.

Did anyone else read the title as "Recommendations for area drugs?" I was about to start listing high schools you could hang out at.

Check out Macy's. They have a nice selection of rugs. Wait for their deep discount sales. I know some people knock their authenticity, but Karastan rugs look nice and are quite durable.

I recently bought one from crate and barrel http://www.crateandbarrel.com/decorating-and-accessories/area-rugs/1 They tend to be a bit more modern though

Hope I'm not late to the party but I found some pretty good deals at World of Rugs near IKEA at Robinson Town Centre. (http://paworldofrugs.com/) The good thing is they seemed to treat it like a bazaar where prices weren't set in stone and they would be willing to haggle if the price was right. They have so many options that I'm sure that you can find a quality rug within your budget.

If you don't mind leaving the city, Aspinwall (10 mins North) has Labriolas which is a small italian deli and Patty's Farmers Market. The Farmer Market has some homemade breads, pies, jams. Beautiful flowers in the summer, reasonable pumpkins in autumn, and Christmas trees in the winter. Labriolas has delicious homemade sweet and hot sausage along with other premade italian food ( chicken parm, pepperoni rolls, meatballs,etc.). Great prices on deli meats and cheeses as well. No Polish options though.

[Pittsburgh Honey](http://www.pittsburghhoney.com) in Squirrel Hill for the best local honey and honey Mustards, Podmilsak’s In Cheswick for the best meats and sausages, Chantal’s Cheese Shop across from Children’s Hospital on Penn Ave for just that, and if you’re up for a drive, DeLallo’s on Route 30 has awesome bakery, fresh baked breads, and a ridiculous selection of olives, and although family owned and operated like all the others here, a bit more commercialized. Still worth trying!
Anyone know of a good place to buy engagement rings? My bf and I are looking for old antique engagement rings. Know of any place to look?

We went to the Marlene Harris collection in Blawnox. It’s a dinky little place in what looks like a trailer, but she has a huge selection of vintage stuff. She’s super helpful and knowledgeable and won’t try to up sell you. She had a ton of rings within our limited price range.

Clark building downtow. Has like ten jewelers.

We had ours made by Keith at Attwood Goldsmiths in the south side if you have any interest in doing something custom. We are super happy with the end result and we were able to be involved in the design process. Honestly cheaper than I thought it would be, but not cheap. If that makes any sense.

Find a reputable wholesale jeweler. Research required but totally worth it.

Complete fucking ripoff waste of money. De Beers thanks you for continuing their made up money grab. Might try a pawn shop though. Bit of a treasure hunt and they tend to be in sketchy areas. But you might just find a hidden gem. Literally.

I bought an antique solitaire about 10 years ago at Shadyside Antiques, but they seem to have since closed. I did not like the shopping experience at all at Marlene Harris. At the time, I meant to also check out Joden Jewelers in Grove City, but since I found what I wanted at Shadyside, I never got around to it. But it's another option for vintage and antique. You might get better prices in Grove City if you don't mind making the drive.

I 200% endorse ira helfer in the Clark building, I believe on the third floor. He is a custom jeweler that will create anything you want at half the price of anywhere else.

I bought an engagement ring 2 years ago from Frost and Co in the Clark building. They were fantastic and explained all the options, and clearly understood my price range. My wife loves her rings.
