Looking for a concrete contractor. Would like to have driveway done before winter. Got and accepted a bid from someone back in June to pour the driveway in September,...

We used CJ Long Paving for our driveway (gravel base) and my aunt used them over her decaying concrete driveway with blacktop.

We used CJ Long as well. We signed a contract in April and they told us it would be done in May. It just FINALLY got done today. If you are looking to have it done quickly I would highly recommend shopping around. We had to call constantly. Our patience were tested at the end of August when they promised to be here the week of Labor Day, then Hopewell started their work and we still didn't have ours done. It took alot of getting angry to even get anyone here. However, in the end (if you can wait) it did turn out nice! We had a deadline and we planned well enough in advance so we couldn't wait any longer for it to get done!

Do not use Precision Pointing & Restoration. I can tell you that.

To be fair, out of 10 consultations that I do, 4 customers will call me back to do the work. The rest will just ghost. So as much as I used to think it was just the contractors being flaky, I now think everyone is flaky. If you post some pictures of the job, I can let you know if it's something I can do. I'm pretty busy, but I might be able to fit it in. At the very least I'll let you know either way.

I had Karam Restoration replace two window lintels as well as some repointing. They did quick work and were fairly priced. Easy to work with. That said, they're probably busy too. Last time I called them I never got a call back.

This is super frustrating. I’ve had several projects go the same way. The no-shows piss me off the most. That said, I’ve had better luck when contacting people off of Angies List. I find they’re more responsive.
