Does anyone know if there are any easily accessible surveyor's stones which list the sites elevation in the North Hills?

Peter Kaup, to answer your question, I don't know that the BM's have elevation inscriptions on them. I can't see one in my USGS marker pic from Oct 2000 or in Chucks COE marker pic. You may have to consult the quad maps to locate the USGS BM's and see the listed elevations on the map. Most of them say BM, but some only show a triangle symbol. Ross straddles the Emsworth and Glenshaw quads.

Again....Check with Tait Enginers.....They are 2 nd or 3 rd generation surveyors in the North Hills.....And I believe one of them is a history buff.

If you do Geocaching, you can also do Benchmarking. I've found and logged the vast majority of Benchmarks in the North Hills. http://www.geocaching.com/mark/default.aspx

Any recommendations for a land surveyor in the area? I'm looking to hire a surveyor to survey my property to get the exact property lines. Has anyone done this? Any...

My real estate agent recommended [Allegheny Land Surveying](https://plus.google.com/105277842358844657712/about?gl=us&hl=en). They are actually going to do the survey today so I can't speak to the quality of their plot plan, but they have been really easy to work with.

Has anyone used or have any recommendations for a land surveyor?

I used Robert J Colosi too. He is located in Brentwood. Phone number is: 412-881-3395. He came out super fast, was $200 less than everyone else we called and did what he needed to do without us even being home! The cost was $275 btw.
I dont know these guys personally - but I have used them. They are near my house. North Hills Engineering Company(724) 443-1561 4980 Middle Rd, Gibsonia, PA 15044

He is Corey. His name is Dean Caley from Finleyville. We plan in just so ending the money to put up a fence. 2" from HUD fence line. He's a real asshole. Had to call 3 different survey companies everyone refused to deal with him.
So excited about good house news. Our addition to our house can be a whole lot bigger than we anticipated. Talked to the city today. We want to do a lot of the work...
