Dr. Raber at Every Kids Dentist, Dr. Sipes is wonderful although she is quitting in a month so I am looking for a pediatrician too. PAH is good, used them until I moved to PV. Now we go to Bradshaw Animal Hospital.

We've used Ponderosa Pediatrics since we moved here 9 years or so ago...Dr. Hinton is awesome. Although its in Chino, Chino Valley Animal Clinic is where we take our pets.

My Kids Dentist is fantastic! My son has been going there for a couple years and my 2 year old just had her first appt and they were able to put her at ease surprisingly fast. I was impressed. My kids see Dr. Hinton at Ponderosa pediatrics, I like them but the wait times can be long. But they do have Saturday morning appointment which I appreciate. I have heard a lot of people say they like a pediatrician named Dr. Sikes too. For my needs I see Nurse Practitioner Peggy "Petey" Towles with Your Health Clinic. She is warm, caring and very knowledgeable. Welcome to town!

I like the NP at ponderosa Jeanne Gibian but I'm in PV and go to Yavapai pediatrics. Clarisa Smith is the only Dr. and wait times are short. Her staff is amazing. I love it there.

Best pediatrician is Dr. Kathleen Ballard. Best dentist Prescott Modern Dentistry, they have an affiliated kids dental office in the adjacent office, that is also great. We switched there from Kidzaam. I can't help with the pet sitter, or the baby sitter exactly, but you should check out Go Bananas, if you have little ones. You can drop off for 2 hours during their regular hours, as long as you stay nearby, but on Friday and Saturday nights they do a parents night out from 5-9 pm. $20 bucks for the first kid and $5 for each sibling. Smoking deal, and very good care. The kids LOVE it there. Only problem is they never want to leave.

My mom was a hygienist in this town for about 10 years, for adult I would say Distinctive Dental which is Dr Paul and Aaron Wulff, the office is beautiful, its family owned and operated and ive had quality work there since I was a kid, for childrens I personally would say My Kids Dentist Dr Brown, there office is amazing with children and they work with the orthodontist next door if they need that in the future!! Another great adult dentist is Dr Mangum! Best of luck

Cornerstone Pediatrics, my kids dentist, and rentals are tough but zillow has listings. Coming into Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey, or Chino Valley? Wide variability in rental cost and distance to schools in different towns.

Look on Craigslist for homes to rent. Also the Prescott Daily Courier Classifieds. You can go online and just look up Prescott, Az. Property Rentals. I'm lucky enough to have a really great private landlord, but he has waiting lists for his properties. Very few places allow pets and Be prepared to pay HUGE pet deposits! Good Luck: )

Most rental places will run your credit so be prepared for that. My kids use Ponderosa Pediatrics but their service has gone downhill since the hospital bought them so we're changing. I agree with the recommendation of Yavapai Pediatrics. I met Dr Smith in my previous role as a business banker and I was so impressed, not just with her and her expertise and obvious care for children, but with her staff and her highly organized office. My daughters have been seeing Dr. Ballard since my Emma was born. She was in the operating room to take care of Emma during my emergency c- section and has been seeing her ever since. I do know that sometimes it seems that her staff will get people in before me but once I had an extremely sick child and had to leave and come back for tests her staff had me back in a room with in minutes of our return. Of course perception is absolutely reality, f you did not have a good feeling about her of course you will be the best mommy you can be and take your children elsewhere. Dr. Ballard also took the time to help me figure out Emma's rare allergy issues and helped me come up with a plan so that i could continue to breast feed her while also supplementing her diet. its important if your personalities click

You state that you were in a panic when you went to Dr. Ballard’s. Did you schedule an appointment for that day when you had to wait for 20 minutes or more? I would consider it a blessing to be even seen by a doctor with a same day visit and 20 minutes is nothing compared to the 4-6 hour wait you will have in the emergency room. She is a single doctor running an office without any other practitioners’, what are you expecting? In what ways was she telling you how to live? I bring both of my daughters there and she is responsible for helping diagnose my youngest with a rare type of food allergy that other specialists were having trouble with. She went the extra mile and was thorough in seeing what tests needed to be ordered and finding out what was going on. My daughter before this was losing weight and was diagnosed with failure to thrive and was less than 3% on the growth chart no matter how much she ate because her body wasn’t absorbing the nutrients it needed to and she ended up getting reflux due to it. She sent us to a specialist she regarded highly and she was put on an amino acid based formula where it turned the whole situation around and now she is a healthy beautiful little girl who is now up to 60% on the growth chart and full of spunk and energy. Part of this process involved feedings that were given via NG(Nasogastric) tube and Dr. Ballard got us help from an occupational specialist so she didn’t have an oral aversion or end up developmentally behind because of the ordeal. When it comes to a doctor I really don’t care about wait times as long it is not in a large excess. What I care about is receiving proper care and Dr. Ballard has done that time and again for my children.

My son also goes to Ponderosa Pedi and always sees the same doctor. You just have to request an appt with your preferred Dr. I guess he/she may not be available in a pinch for a sick visit, but it should work for well checks. But you're looking for a female doctor and we see Dr. Hinton there so I can't help ya much! lol

Dr. Mary Moyer is family practice but has seen my kids since birth and is the best doctor we have ever had.

Dr Ballard also diagnosed a serious problem with my newborn after other pediatricians basically patted me on the head and treated me like a nervous mom. She listened, ordered testing, and got it fixed.

I've taken my daughter to Ponderosa Pediatric Clinic for years, they are very well organized and have super doctors.

Rachel Sheldon to help you make your decision all the pediatrics office will do a free meet and greet. This way you can make an educated decision about your child's doc. You will be able to see wait time, meet the staff and the Dr and ask any questions you have about the practice. I also recommend Michelle Copeland at Ponderosa. She is a great NP, good listener and timely. I have worked in pediatrics for almost 14 years and unfortunately you will see more 20 minute wait times at one point or another no matter where you go...and in pediatrics a "sicker" kiddo may be pulled back before yours. I would highly recommend checking out each practice for yourself. We all have different likes and dislikes and expectations as parents. I wish you the best!!

I would never return to Dr. Covey. He refused to treat me when we all had AHCCCS because he didn't agree that my family qualified. Not his place. Plus he was overly into handing out meds & popping a bunch of pills.

I actually love Dr. Hinton at Ponderosa and hated going to the Yavapai Health office with Dr. Green. I got 3 different times of when I was supposed to show up for an appointment, it definitely didn't feel like the cleanest place, and the doctor stuck his hands in my son's mouth and didn't even wash them. I think ponderosa is great.

I love love Dr. Hinton. The problem is, he is with Ponderosa Pediatrics. And a few years ago they sold out to the hospital or some sort of merger kind of thing. Ever since then. I agree with the lady above and her level of trust. It is absolutely horrific in there. I have been round and round and round with the office manager. I can't remember his name. He himself has been as helpful as he can possibly be. But the clinic itself is horrific, and one of the PAs. I can't remember her name right this minute either, I was reading the notes from one of our visits. She completely missed stated several things.
