Utah County, please give me recommendations for a super good primary care doctor.
Kristy B. replied:
I've heard that Vaughn Johnson is a western/eastern doctor in Orem. (801)375-7100
Joseph P. replied:
Cliff Dunston801-766-9191 Saratoga springs. worth the drive. very unconventional and very effective as a healer. often instantaneous
Heidi P. replied:
Kristy, he is. He practices with Dr. Durrans, and when you see him, you can see both doctors, regardless of insurance. Dr. Johnson is an osteopathic doctor and practices not an Eastern method, but a different method to regular Western method. I've seen him and liked him very much.
Rita P. replied:
I have really liked Dr. Curzon. He listens, has recommended natural remedies, and even once gave me his cell number (which I think I lost).
Janet S. replied:
I have had the same doctor since the day I was born. Well it's a father/son combination but I like them both. They are in Orem though so I don't know if you would prefer something in Provo. David Peterson is the Dad and pretty much works when he wants to now (he is slowly retiring I think) and Scott Peterson is the Son. I can get you the # if you are interested.
Lisa C. replied:
Dr. Brown north Orem
Lili S. replied:
Several from my family go to Dr Curzon, too, and we all agree that he is great. His office/receptionists, etc, on the other hand, are NOT. They can be terrible about calling back, so that's frustrating. This reminds me that I keep meaning to ask the fb for pediatrician recommendations... ;-)
Kathy D. replied:
Dr. Dr. Curzon might take you because I referred Geotge to him. How is George and Ellen?
Laura R. replied:
Dr. Shelly Savage at Grandview Family Medicine.
Lauri C. replied:
Hey and what Kathy said, Dr Curzon is in practice with Marshall. Curzon real cool to, and a TBM, lol
Holly C. replied:
Whenever i'm in utah i go see Dr Dennis Remington at the Freedom Medical Center in Provo. He spends lots of time with you and practices both allopathic and holistic medicine. He believes a lot of our health problems can be solved with diet. Be forewarn...See More
Valerie M. replied:
Darrell Stacey has been our family doctor. He was Dan's doctor before we were married. 801.714.3450 (400 North Orem) I hope you find someone who works well with you!
Joseph P. replied:
Jan Chase in Provo is amazing too! right in Provo above Epstein bros at center and university across the hall from life clinic. 801-361-4521
Lauri C. replied:
UH Dr Marshall is the best doc I've ever er had. Kent Marshall 801 221 8811
Shannon G. replied:
I really love Roger Brockbank at the Lindon Tri City Medical Clinic. He has literally saved my life twice. But I don't know if you want to go all of the way to Lindon.
Dalene R. replied:
Walstir Fonseca
Kathy D. replied:
She's in she is in with Dr Curzon. She is from Brazil. Internal medicine. Nicole Clark at the family medicine us fantastic, Heather Harrison at centtal it. Clinic Provo is good also.
I asked this question last year but now I have insurance (Select Health) so I'll ask again—I need a great doctor, a general practitioner. Who is your recommendation?...
Lennika W. replied:
I second Dr. Blackwell.
Georgia B. replied:
Heather, is Dr. Savage a GP?
Holly C. replied:
When I was in Provo I saw Dr Dennis Remington (a GP) at the Freedom Medical Center. He focuses on preventive care thru diet, vitamins, natural hormone treatments, but will prescribe drugs when necessary. He takes his time with you but the wait in his office is long. He is getting older and I dont know if he's retiring. My sister goes to him and he hasnt announced retirement. I wish he were here in LA!
Andi D. replied:
Find Susan Chassen in Provo. She's a NP and would totally jive with you.
Dani H. replied:
Todd Seamons in Orem 801 802 7373
Kathy D. replied:
Yes, Dr. Savage is a gp, and Dr. Blackwell just might be in practice with Dr. Savage. Years ago, I mean years ago Elizabeth Blackwell practiced at BYU health center.
Kathy D. replied:
Dr. Marshall is highly recommended.
Melody N. replied:
I go to Susan Chasen at IHC Gappmayer clinic for my GYN stuff. She is a family nurse practitioner and I go out-of-network because she's an awesome woman and health care provider. You'd like her. And Select Health is an IHC product, so she's in-network for you. Having said that, I would suggest you also find an internal medicine doc for your over-all health needs. Marshall is one of my all-time faves. He's with Central Utah Medical group, not IHC, so you may want to check if he's a provider. With most IM docs at CUMC, you can see their NP or PA to initiate care in their practice, then see the MD later. If Laurin has connections, you can't miss with Marshall. Unless he retires
Kathy D. replied:
Good comment Melody and true Georgia you do need internal medicine. But, caution, do not establish with the newest Dr. In with Dr. Marshall. If you have to see zAshley his PA. I think they take select med.
Georgia B. replied:
Susan Steffen has been my GYN for years. I'll probably stay with her gang for that, but I do very much need a more general internal med doc. It's time to address issues.
Heather S. replied:
Dr. Savage is fabulous. I'm a real crier at the dr & she is always kind and straightforward. She was also very open and supportive of my natural (hospital) birth w/lu... I trust her judgement.
Lisa B. replied:
William David Voss Central Utah Clinic 400 South in Springville. He's wonderful and fits your description.
Kathy D. replied:
Dr. Woidmansee and his partner Dr. Holmes are awesome here in Provo. I can tell you a couple of excellent females pm me.
Kathy D. replied:
I prefer you pm me because I'm not positive if they still take new pts. One of them is Allison? at Merrill Gappmayer family medicine.
Laurin C. replied:
Dr. Kent Marshall. The very best. You know how much I love him. He's a Bishop to. Please try him out
Kathy D. replied:
Kent Marshall is fabulous but I know he does not take new pts. Georgia if you talk to your in laws they or possibly me may be able to pull some strings to get you into Dr C. but it wouldn't be too quick.
Jennifer M. replied:
Dr. Lundell in Sp Fork. Homeopathic friendly.
Eileen N. replied:
Dr. Lundell in spanish fork, actually I"ve just gone to the nurse practicioners but they are great
Ashley C. replied:
I used to work for Dr. Savage. She is my favorite doctor EVER. She is a gp, but probably hard to get into. Her PA is Lisa Stubbs and I would trust her for anything.
Ward friends! We're looking for a primary care doctor. Any suggestions? Who do you see? We're fine, just need a local doc. :)
Abby C. replied:
I had been seeing Heather Harrison at the Central Utah Clinic. She in Family Practice. I have liked seeing her. Nurses not so much, but Heather has been super nice.
Kaiti M. replied:
Best all around doctor ever is Dr. Steven Berry at Orem Family Medicine. He does it all- primary care, OB, he even delivered our baby and is now our pediatrician. BEST ever.
Hardest part about moving, finding new doctors and dentists. We've found a dentist and a pediatrician we love. Does anyone have a general practitioner and/or a...
