Metropolitan Market has a lot of overlap with whole foods but WF tends to be cheaper. PCC is good too, but each one is very different. Shopping at Pike Place is doable but only if you live within walking distance. Otherwise I wouldn't bother unless getting specialty items--but Market Spice is a great shop for bulk spices.
