I use Bark Boulevard on El Cajon; my doggies love them!

San Marcos Kennels. Or Petville (also in San Marcos). Both places support the shelter I volunteer for (GSCR).

San Diego Bed and Biscuit, in Ramona. Taken my pups to Heidi there a few times and it's awesome. Lots of outdoor time is part of the boarding (important for my two large dogs who are used to having lots of outdoor time), satellite radio for them, roomy cages, taken in walks around the large property, etc. The pricing was about the same as any other place I found, and those places didn't include any of the "amenities" that this place does. (You gotta pay extra for outside time at many places).

Camp Shultz in Bonita is amazing! I have taken my dog three other places and she loves this one. The last block before we drop her off she is doing circles of excitement in the back seat.

http://www.animalcenter.org/clubpet/ This place has been amazing to our dogs. We had a dog that would come home traumatized from everywhere but here. Absolutely wonderful.

We use http://www.furryfriendsresort.com they are a part of the Cuyamaca Animal Hospital which is our regular vet. I trust them and like their services: one on one time, dog group play, etc.

http://www.poochhotel.com - I have seen it but don't know anyone that has used it. http://www.thegoldenpaw.net They have a coupon on Yelp. I've had friends use a couple downtown - www.furrytalesdaycare.com

I'm ashamed to say that I'm so "San Diego" that I assumed your headline was going to be about places to surf with your dog.

They're not open until 9 in the evenings, but our dog has a ball at Camp Bow Wow.

K9 Rustic Ranch in Valley Center. Kristi is an amazing woman. She has tons of land for the dogs to run around. The dogs play all day and sleep in individual kennels in a climate controlled room. She'll even come pick up your dog. Honestly cannot recommend her enough. http://k9 rusticranch.com

La Jolla is beautiful. Sulfur odor in the showers and run down but it's special to us and we have stayed there since our first year in Baja. Inexpensive and about 1/2 an hour past Costco in Ensenada. http://www.lajollabeachcamp.com/
Gerald H. replied:
Clam Beach is really nice and you pay for it. About km 70, 1/2 an hour before Ensenada. http://clambeachresort.com/
