Any furniture store recommendations? My couch is falling apart (staples poking out, seat caved in to the side, can feel planks within the cushion, etc.) and I need...

I bought couches (and other furniture) from Mor. Its not a local mom and pop, but it was 0% financing for 5 years and the price was pretty good compared to Ashley and Jerome's.

The best couch I ever bought was from a local place called Urban Fusion Decorhttps://goo.gl/maps/B3 hzB28 gv8F2. The owner is super chill and the quality is great. Mine was $1,600 which really stretched the budget but it's amazing and should last a long time. There are also cheaper deals there on couches that the store had ordered from the manufacturer but came in the wrong color or fabric. On the cheaper end, a few years ago I had really good luck at United Furniture in North Park https://goo.gl/maps/yp7YXx9 pET12.

Costco and costco.com have a lot of quality stuff, but it really depends on your budget

Galeria Rustica, Design One, and Lawrance Furniture have some nice stuff. Neiman Marcus also sells furniture but it's just ok, nothing that nice.

i got a great chair from loveseat.com its refurbished kind-of-vintage stuff. selection is limited but its worth a look.

This! I'm looking for a place that sells reasonably priced couches with delivery. I don't mind going to the big boys, just thought I'd contribute my money towards local business if they're not gauging me on the price.

I would try wayfair.com. Really good deals on furniture and free shipping
Is there a good furniture store anyone recommends for a new sofa/ small sectional. Moving here from CA, our furniture is unfortunately too big. ;(

Not selling, just sharing how happy I am with it! I'm at work and don't have a picture on me at the moment, but here's the link on the Bob's website (The chaise is included in the price, but you don't have to buy it): http://www.mybobs.com/libre-ii-3-piece-left-arm-facing-sectional

I can't believe how a small town is acting over businesses opening up in this town. It is 2014 going on 2015. This county is not even up to speed with the times on many things. I hear the younger generations complain because there are no jobs here, I see jobs listed on indeed.com and Trillium.com and nobody will do what they have to to get these jobs. Locals travel every weekend to Bay City, Saginaw, Midland to shop where the prices are cheaper. Why, they have competition. Simply that. Now, I am not for living in a big City, never have, and never will, but the world does need to evolve. Tawas and East Tawas need Businesses there needs to be an opportunity, maybe not for me, maybe not for you, but don't damn the person that is creating the opportunity for someone you may know that really needs it. I never heard so much smack about a town bringing in the opportunity for a career, business to not just feed his family, but another man's family. And I agree, Tawas doesn't need another Food place, what they need are people who want to earn an honest living and do their best at the job they have been given the opportunity to be their best.

craigslist--check Berkeley!! If you have a car and can pick up from Berkeley (which is 30 minutes away from SF), it's a great place for good deals on decent furniture. I went to UC Berkeley for my undergrad years and there were always LOTS of college students selling furniture (a lot from IKEA). I got my IKEA table + dresser for only $20 from some students.
