We go to Dr. Eric White at Complete Family Vision. 5075 Ruffin Rd, just before Studio Diner. He will even match the Costco price on contacts. Costco ophthalmologist is also great and their prices are super.

Dr. Slikker at Costco Mission Valley is PHENOMENAL and very patient with teenagers who want to use contact lenses. Kyle started using contacts when he went into high school and had some problems because he wasn't following the rules. She put the fear of God into him and he "turned his life around."

Kelley, we used Dr Slicker at Costco and she is amazing. But make sure you request her so you don't get the guy Doc there.

I agree with Karen on that one. There's two eye drs in that office so you need to specify Dr. Slikker. She is also very generous with handing out samples. The one downside is the woman who works in the office who schedules appointments, does the preliminary testing, and accepts payments is also the one who teaches how to put the contacts in. Because she's doing so much, she doesn't have the time to devote to teaching how to use contacts.

I have been happy with Dr. Klein (after switching from another eye guy there) as well and my eyes have special needs. Every other year when insurance would cover, I'd buy glasses there, but usually bought glasses and sunglasses at Costco. Now that my insurance has changed, I'm going back to Dr. Leung. I went to him before and liked him very much-he is an ophthalmologist next to Sharp Hospital. Dr. Slikker has checked my husband's eyes for prescription and that has been fine. Where ever you get your eyes checked, you can take your prescription elsewhere to buy glasses. Dr. Leung is at http://www.sandiegoeyecenter.com/site/our-doctor.htm
