Does anyone have a fabulous ophthalmologist they love in the San Jose area? I need a referral for Mom. Thx!
Sharon P. replied:
Yes - Jessica Chen, M.D. -she's with Palo Alto Eye Group - but they have an office at 14777 Los Gatos Blvd. Ste. 201, Los Gatos - right where Good Samaritan Blvd ends at LG Blvd - 650/324-9200 - been seeing her for glaucoma for 3-4 years.
Joel W. replied:
Hi Cindy! Yes I work for an ophthalmology group and all our docs are great. www.spectrumeye.com
Steve C. replied:
Dr. Rutti on Forest Ave. near O'Connor Hospital. Very close to you. 2239 Forest Ave. SJ 95128.
Brenda K. replied:
You must take her to David Silverstein near good Sam. I have to go every 6 months for medical reasons and he is the only one I will go to.
Now that I have insurance, I'm looking to find an eye doctor and a general doctor in any area from South San Jose up to Menlo Park. Please send me your recommendations....
Leslie F. replied:
Ronald O'Brien, DDS. 408-578-8331. It's a private practice - his office manager is Karen; dental hygienist is Kathy. All really nice people and they make going to the dentist a comfortable experience. I used to get "white coat" syndrome when I went to the dentist. NOT with this team.
Leslie F. replied:
Eye doc: Milpitas Optometric Group, Dr. Susan Gordon. She is awesome and the facility is awesome. I have been going to her office for about 20 years and I recommend her every chance I get.
Leslie F. replied:
General doctor (Internal Med): Dr. Vivien D'Andrea-Smith. She has been my MD for 25 years and my friends to whom I've recommended her love her as much as I do. She's really good: Palo Alto Medical Foundation on El Camino in Mountain View. Her nurse assistant, Bianca, is a doll.
Leslie F. replied:
Cindy - Dr. D'Andrea-Smith is one of those rare doctors who actually takes the time to get to know you. She takes a holistic approach and encourages alternative medicine when practical.
Rikki Q. replied:
The boys eye Dr is Dr. Arthur Low I've know him since his son and I were in the 3 rd grade...for a primary care dr there's always Dr Thomas

Mike M. replied:
We go to Palo Alto medical foundation at De Anza and Rainbow. I really like Dr Yamouti and Sharon really likes Dr Tong.
Kathy N. replied:
Dr. Keith Kosakura in Cupertino is a great eye doctor. I also see Dr. Tong and like him a lot.
Mimi K. replied:
I love Dr. John Duggin for my eyes and have been going to him for 14 years, he is in the Good Samaritan Medical group.
Judie S. replied:
I like Dr. Broad in Los Gatos text me and I can send you his number. He was my doctor when I lived her before and when we came back we picked up where we left off.
Can anyone recommend me a good eye doctor who stays open late or on Saturday in San Jose? I'm kinda debating between hottie jappie doctor or hottie vietnamese doctor,...
Angelina O. replied:
Advance Vision Center of Optometry on Meridian. Really friendly staff, great doctor n they're willing to work with your schedule:)
Hi Neighbors,
Looking for recommendations for a kid friendly eye doctor in the area. Thanks a bunch!
Carol B. replied:
Dr. Dale Barr is really good. Kids and adults. He has a colleague in his office who does developmental vision assessments in addition to standard optometry.
