I've recently needed an arborist for trimming back a tree in my front yard that was hit by lightning. I used the arborist list on the South Bend Forestry website: http://sbpark.org/resources/forestry/ I first called Kevin's Tree Service, who came out and gave me a great quote, but after three weeks of calling him to try and schedule a time for him to come out and trim, and never getting a call back, I gave up on him. Called Arborcare instead, got a slightly more expensive quote, but a much more knowledgeable arborist who has a staff that answers phone calls/emails and schedules appropriately. So, long story short, try Arborcare.

Tree Service: Walt Temple Tree I had a bunch of tree work done at multiple properties across the area... KC Tree wanted like $10 k, A-1 wanted like $3200 to cut down two trees (well, like 1.5, half the tree was already gone). Walt Temple Tree did the work at 4 locations for around $3500. They did take about 2 weeks to get out to do our work but it was worth waiting to save $6500
