You did good with Dr suggestions, so now looks as if a couple of specialist are what I need. Can anyone suggest a really good dermatologist? I'll drive anywhere to see...

HELP!
Need a good, local dermatologist that takes Blue Cross Ins! Not familiar with these type of doctors in our area. Can you help?
Meaghan M. replied:
Dermatology Associates Dr Olivier
Debbie E. replied:
Dr. Cormier does. I use him
Teresa M. replied:
Getting in to see this type of doctor is difficult. A call from your GP to set up an appointment by consult will help. Also, go to Healthgrades.com for information on doctors as well as what type of insurance they accept. I have found it to be accurate. Leave your opinion after you see the doctor so others will find out how you liked him/her. It is confidential.
Anyone know any good Dermatologists in Sulphur/Lake Charles?
Holly M. replied:
I've always heard good things about Dr Shondra Smith.
Yellow D. replied:
Dr Shonda Smith is who we use on Nelson in Lake Charles, really knows her stuff. They just removed a skin cancer from my husbands arm and are treating him with a cream for the ones on his face.
Jimmy L. replied:
Morris Bart.
Pam B. replied:
Sondra Smith not not preference. I would choose Dr. Lee Miller
we got into Dr. Shondra Smith's office within a week. She diagnosed and removed my husband's skin cancer without a referral from our family doctor.
Carrie H. replied:
We use Kevin Guidry but it takes forever to get app
Nancy P. replied:
I use Dr. Ford and as an established patient, it may take 3 months to get in to see him for about 2 minutes. If there is a cancellation I may get in sooner. I wonder if he is even taking new patients.
The Cormier group will have a long wait time - but if you can wait they are great - Dr Maurine Olivier (North side of Lake Area) is good and usually short wait time.
