Dr. Ronnie Chen took care of my children during their childhood...we have a rare eye disease that runs in the family. We found her manner much better than Dr. Guggino who we used to see. She's knowledgeable and patient and an excellent surgeon.
Adult eye doctor recommendations needed. Thank you!!!
Guy S. replied:
Dr. Cossari mostly does kids, but he accepts adults too. He's been my guy for 7 or 8 years now and he's very good. Plus, you get a lollypop.

no one ever asks about family GP doctors. If anyone needs...Dr. Denise Abselet in Davis Office Park is the best.

Cheryl S. replied:
I would never see Dr Abselet...ever..my husband went there with problems. .he said he snored and we were worried about him losing his breath during sleeping. .she said tell your wife to get ear plugs. ..he ended up having diabetes..diagnosed by a different doctor and lost weight with the help of a nutritionist and...no more snoring. Also no more blepharitis which was why he saw Dr Basile...when you're diabetic your body tries to take all liquid out of your body to flush the kidneys and rid your body of the sugar. .it even takes it from your eyes. That's why diabetics sweat, are always thirsty, urinate frequently. ..none of which were picked up by Dr Abselet. ...

Anyone have an eye doctor they'd recommend in Tampa? I need new glasses and don't really want to just pick randomly from the list of places my insurance covers.
Anybody who can recommend an eye doctor in Tampa, ideally in South Tampa? I've never been to an eye doctor before as I've never had a need. Over the last month though,...

I just went to America's Best! It was actually very reasonably priced. It was 89 for a contact and glasses exam, and I paid $20 more for additional testing to check for any nerve damage or peripheral vision damage. They also had a deal where for $10 more you get free eye exams for a year and 10% all purchases.

I’ve been going to Tampa Eye Clinic on MLK for over a decade. I personally have seen Dr. Lorenzen this entire time because my dad had been seeing him for years before me with great success. I can’t comment on any other doctors there unfortunately.
As for your issues that you’re experiencing: it doesn’t hurt to take breaks from screens. I get the same thing when I overdo it with all of the devices in my life. Look up some eye strain exercises online and see if they help. Don’t stare for hours on end. Make a point to get up and walk around, focus on some things 10+ feet away to let your eyes rest and then go back. My strain got so bad at one point I was in legit pain for about a week. Nothing helped but rest.
