Is there anyone who has a dog with seizures that could recommend a good vet? New to the area, and sadly we couldn't bring our vet with us.
Laura W. replied:
Yes. My sheltie had seizures. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. The local vets here are good. Valley Vet is open one day a week...tomorrow. You are in luck! Walk ins welcome!
Scott L. replied:
If for some reason Valley Vet doesn't work out we also have Vernonia Vet which has hours on Mon, Wed, & Sat. 503-429-1612. Emergency clinic is in Warren (between Scappoose and St. Helens) 503-397-6470.

Kristina Carter - a Veteran's Service Officer is an advocate for Veterans. Russ also visits Vernonia on a regular basis. It would be good for your friend to touch base with him and have an appointment, if he hasn't already. http://www.cat-team.org/veterans.html

Curious if anyone has the number to the vernonia vet, or if someone can tell me if they spay/neuter cats and how much it would...
Scott L. replied:
They run an ad in Vernonia's Voice newspaper in every issue. 503-429-1612.
Alexis P. replied:
The vet's off does spay/neuter cats. They like to have that booked in advanced so that they have ample time in case there's an emergency. There are usually feed/water in take restrictions for the procedure, but the staff at Vernonia Vet can give you all the details. I don't remember as the last cat we took to have done there was a male, but they wanted him to be 6 months old. And sometimes vet's want the cat to have gone through their first heat.
Tristin T. replied:
Call Valley vet in Rainer if vernonia is busy I took tuck there I love that vet! Since vernonia is only Monday Wednesday saturday
IS there a good gun smith/armourer in town? Private or otherwise? I have several things I'd like worked on, and would like a long term maintenance, mod, and repair...
