I hope I'm not spilling a secret (I doubt it, I found it myself by driving a little bit around the Chief, just look for all the climber cars), there is definitely a village of tents that is basically right on the Angel Crest approach on the other side of the road from the Chief. Solstice Cafe lower Pandora is good (coffee, food, wifi). If you're tethering from your phone for the Internet (or don't need it), the Totems near the RBCM (lots of shade).
