You will have to call to see when they are scheduling, but Perkins Counseling is in Wake Forest. Pam is awesome and has a great team of counselors (which is clear from how quickly the schedule gets full): http://www.perkinscps.com/about/

Looking for recommendations and referrels on child psychologist in Wake Forest...I really would like someone who is caring and kind with what we are currently going...
Kathleen J. replied:
The two that come to mind are Perkins Counseling & Psychological Services and Bowman Family Services. Both are in WF and both can provide psychological testing and therapy. I always suggest that people go to Psychologytoday.com for a very thorough therapist search that allows you to refine your search by location, insurance, population and disorder.

Angela Phan with Youngsville Mental Health is awesome. She helped my son from 8 th grade to 11 th grade with his ADHD and anxiety, as well as grief after we lost my stepdad. Her office is right off Capital Blvd/US 1 North in Youngsville. And she accepts BCBS of NC. http://youngsvillementalhealth.com/angela.htm

We just moved our 2 kids away from Growing Child. So many issues from billing to treatment! I was so happy to find out my family doctor I go to accepts children over 10 yrs of age. I had Growing Child fax over my children's shot records and they were all messed up (showed they never got some shots and sometimes too many of another) Good thing I had the updated record you leave their office with. Took my family doctor and I 10 minutes of looking at what they faxed over and what I had in my hand to figure it all out!

We are pulling my step kids from there ASAP too. They have a horrible reputation and I can see why! Try switching Peds. Our other kids go to Jeffers Mann and artman on Rogers road and they are so helpful and understanding. My oldest sees a lot of specialists they've referred us to and they're all great.
