Orthopedic Physical Therapy Associates, 10560 Ligon Mill rd #109 in Wake forest. Located right by the Walmat. They are not as busy but take great care of their clients. I always felt engaged and not stuck in a corner staring at a wall or stuck doing something I could do at home. They have really helped my shoulder and Olivier is the best. He's kind and willing to work with your limitations and doesn't force things. His staff is amazing down to the gal at the front desk. I am so blessed to find these folks. They incorporate massage into the therapy which truly helps to meet your goal of full movement of your joint.

I would seek another opinion from a different orthopedist. I had FAI (femoral acetabular impingement) in my right hip which started with a tear in the labrum. There is only so much PT can do depending on the dynamics. Have you had an MRI or arthrogram? Steve Olson at Duke Orthopedics is fantastic. As someone who has been through this, I would want to know the "whys" of the impingement. Good luck!

The very best PT in the world is Holt Physical Therapy on Falls of Neuse. Their knee program is comprehensive with state of the art treatment including a treadmill that removes some of your body weight to get your legs used to moving normally. Cupping, dry needling, massage and strengthening exercises are some of what's offered. I've had rehab with Holt 4 times, 3 of which were post op knee issues and I've come out stronger than ever. If I may....I am several years postop and have also had a micro discectomy following the original surgery to relieve a herniation below the fusion. I will tell you the upper shoulder tightness never really goes away. I have found that massage is probab ly the best opportunity to relieve some of these issues as the problem is typically not in your back but actually in your neck muscles in front of your neck and up traps. Please call Dana Jone. http://www.danajones.massagetherapy.com/about-the... She's worked wonders for me.
