Engineered wood flooring' withstands the test of time. It works better in a kitchen less susceptible to temperature and moisture expansion and contraction. Vinyl flooring also works if on a budget. For best price find what you want locally or order samples pieces. Then research various companies online to find the exact material at a cheaper price. For example one can get wood flooring material from various supplier in Georgia at a better price. I have also used Floor and Decors and had no issues. Best of luck on your quest, it is not an easy decision
