Ray Webster at Positive Motion PT. He is a runner and understands our mentality. https://www.facebook.com/positivemotionpt/
Larissa C. replied:
Ray Webster at Positive Motion PT is amazing!!! When I first started seeing him years ago I thought I had runner's knee. It turns out that a tight hip flexor was pulling on tendon and muscles connected to my knee and causing the discomfort. A few appointments with him and some stretching a couple times a day did the trick!
Patty F. replied:
If you end up at a chiropractor Dr. Shatynski sent me to Proactive Chiropractic. Everyone there is great, but I see Chris Bath when i am out of whack, and he really knows his stuff.
Marilyn N. replied:
I have to recommend Jeff Koss - my husband has a man crush on him for sports massage. Delmar Chiropractics makes his appointments, (518) 439-7644
I'm looking for a recommendation for a sports medicine doc in the area who sees lots of runners. I've been having some pain in my foot and would like to see someone who...
Larissa C. replied:
Ray at Positive Motion in Albany. I am seeing him now for knee pain. He is wonderful and a runner
Jessica B. replied:
Dr Aronowitz at ortho NY He is a huge runner himself. 12 full marathons. Def understands runners! Great doc!
Christine V. replied:
If you can't get in with Shatinsky, give Hamish Kerr with capital region ortho a try. He watched me run on a treadmill to check my form...looked at the wear on my shoes etc.... He is also a triathlete
Christine V. replied:
Marc Ginsberg in Albany is a podiatrist, ironman and awesome with runner feet stuff!
Deborah S. replied:
Thanks all for your help! Was able to make an apt with Dr. Shatynsky. Have to wait a few weeks but at least I'm on the schedule!!
Helene M. replied:
Todd Shatynski....would stake my life on him! He listens, is honest, an Ironman, runner.
Lisa D. replied:
If any follow up is recommended by Shatynski, I recommend Proactive Chiropractic, Craig Nelson or Chris Bath - Dr. B has saved me on many occasions. Thanks to his treatment and recommendations, I was running again within three weeks of a nasty ankle sprain, and just PR'd in a half marathon. He's also gotten me through 5 full marathons. He knows his stuff and understands runners. 373-9999
Jodi T. replied:
My son is a gymnast. We saw Dr. Dixon at Orthony for foot issues. He was great.
Todd D. replied:
Dr Shatynsky is awesome. He's also a triathlete so he understands the mind set of athletes.
Sharon S. replied:
Craig Nelson at Proactive Chiropractic in CP. He is a runner/triathlete. Well worth the drive!
Mark G. replied:
Highly recommend Dr. Shatynski.
Christine M. replied:
Todd Shatinsky. Huge.
Thea S. replied:
I've been to see Dr Shatynsky in Albany and Dr Digiovani in Hudson. Both were helpful. Dr Digiovani was great when I had knee issues a few years ago.
Happy Monday everyone! Does anyone have recommendations for a chiropractor (specializing in sports medicine) in the capital region or Saratoga area??
Ben H. replied:
Proactive chiropractic in Clifton Park
Helene M. replied:
Chris Bath at Proactive or Keith Donato in Saratoga

Helene M. replied:
Todd Shatynski at Capital Region Orthopedics. He is an Ironman and runner and truly listens. Have been going to him for the last two years for hip arthritis and tore my gastrocnemius in October. He is very popular among runners.
Malerie A. replied:
Columbia Physical Therapy in EG and Valatie did wonders for me!!!
Joan M. replied:
Dr Chris Bath at Proactive Chiropractic in Clifton Park. He's their ART specialist. He rocks.
James C. replied:
Another vote for Ray at Positive Motion PT. Listens thoughtfully, isolated the likely root cause, got me back on my training plan. I've also used a sports medicine clinic, a podiatrist, and another PT for my Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis issues, but Ray is the one who addresses the 'why' behind the symptoms.
Any suggestions for a sports medicine doctor (for a 2nd opinion on my hip) that is NOT Todd Shatynski? Thanks!
Emma C. replied:
He's not specifically sports medicine but I have always gone to Dr Aronowitz who's now with orthony. Every injury I've ever had has been sports related and he was amazing
Sarah G. replied:
Sports Physical therapist.... look for one certified in ART (active release therapy) if you can/feel it may work for you. I have a couple long time running friends that struggled with hip pain and went to an ART certified PT. They swear by it and one of them is a PT
Peg E. replied:
R. Maxwell Alley at the bone & joint center
Sara C. replied:
Dr. Arronowitz is the best one I have been to, he's done two knee surgeries for me and he's a runner himself!
Are there any sports doctors in the group ? I have a few questions and possibly looking for a second opinion but want to bounce some info I have been given off of someone
Helene M. replied:
Todd Shatynski sports med doc at Bone and Joint Center. Simply the best! An Ironman, runner and has experienced injuries. Not a surgeon, but I’d surgeon needed will send you in that direction (as I experienced). As an old RN, he’s one of the very few docs I’ve been to that takes the time to listen and hear what his patient says.
Anybody have some recommendations for podiatrists or sports medicine specialists in the area? I get a flare up of (what I hope is just) Achilles tendonitis in the same...

OrthoNY and Repsher & Associates Physical Therapy on Everett road. I strained my Achilles a month before a marathon and they got it fixed and stronger than ever in time for my race:)
