Awesome Pediatrician recommendations... ?
In Albany.
Dana S. replied:
Not in Albany, but Dr. Fusetti in Corvallis is absolutely amazing. Not only is she knowledgable, but she will look into every single question you have no matter how small. They even helped me with potty training and sleeping routines. Any one of them who answers the phone can give you excellent advice!

Pondview is great...we see Dr. Caramore but all are great and get back to you promptly and get sick kids in fast. You can set up an appt. while pregnant to meet them and see the office. Any pediatrician worth a damn should allow you to do that.
Iona D. replied:
Echo the Schoolhouse Road Pediatrics. They have weekend hours, and we love Dr. Leary and Dr. Sheridan. Only down side, you almost always will leave a message to make an appointment or talk to a nurse. BUT, they ALWAYS call back within 15 minutes or so(...See More

My kids love their pediatrician, Caitrin Navarro, at Schoolhouse Rd. We have met every doctor there at one time or another and have been more than satisfied. Honestly, I am comfortable having my 3 children seen by anyone of the doctor's. They are great about sick calls too.
Jamie L. replied:
Yup, another tally mark for Schoolhouse Ped. Dr. Leary is our fav, but they've got a half dozen + great doctors. Very attentive, thorough, and will squeeze you in when its urgent. Dr. Leary is a Molly Shannon (SNL) doppleganger...you have to see to believe..

Wee care on ledo is excellent friendly daycare. And I use Dr Rosy Gehlot at kids come first pediatrics for Allie. I recommend her. She's great and does everything herself instead of nurses doing it for her. Good luck on your move.

Megan, Dr. For kids Albany Pediatrics, best in Albany. I know them all personally. Collected their bad checks for 3 years or more. Dr. Calabro, female pediatrician.
Hey Ladies! I need to know of a good pediatrician here in Albany. I need someone that is open minded and supportive of not only breast feeding but will also let my...
Nicole O. replied:
We saw Dr. Hughes from Swga pediatrics. He will tell you up front that he's pro vsccination but he worked with us and I was able to delay my newborns shots until she was three months. He's from up north and seems much more open minded than most doctors I've met here. Our insurance forced us to see a doc on base:/ but we wouldve stayed. He provides alternatives before prescribing medication.
Katie C. replied:
Dr Calabro hands down!!!! She is very supportive of my parenting. Non vax, not circumcising, home birthing, co sleeping, breast feeding... ALL of it!! She is at Albany Pediatrics. You would love her. She is not just a doctor but she is a friend to all of her patients. She will spend a good ten min talking and getting to know you an your children. Love love love her!!!!
Karie P. replied:
Was using Dr. Calabro and LOVED her but her office drove me nuts. LONG CRAZY waits and too many sick sounding kids near my baby. Switched to Dr. Wahbah and while his bedside manner is odd at best he is amazingly supportive of 'mamma knows best'. If it wasn't for his support and encouragement my youngest would have ended up with me pumping and giving him a bottle. I've delayed all vacs and while he will explain the party line he doesn't seem to care at all if you get the shots or not. His nurses are super sweet too!
Emily S. replied:
We loved Dr. Wahbeh. He's very knowledgeable about breastfeeding, which is unusual in my experience with pediatricians. (We've seen a LOT of pediatricians. Haha) He is also completely supportive of no vax or delayed vax. And it was nice that a few times when my son needed extra testing, we could do it there in the office instead of going to Phoebe.
Ok, Albany area parents....I am looking for ideas on a pediatrician...can anyone suggest someone...I really prefer someone one a little on the earthy side, open to...
Desiree B. replied:
I use Dr Kroopnick. he has been my pediatrician for 24 years. he's now also my granddaughters. he's also a vegetarian
I'd actually only want to stand up to a pediatrician if s/he turned out to be anti-vax. Doctors went to med school and are better qualified than laypeople to know about...
