Second Del Ray Hardware. There's also great little hardware stores in Westover & Cherrydale (can't recall the names).

Shattuck and Wanamaker are the best around. I like Wanamakers a little more.. but I worked there through high school so I'm bias there.

I'm sorry to say that I had such a terrible experience with a loudly aggressive senior staff member at RW Shattuck & Company a year or two ago that I've never gone in that store again.
