Anyone else having problems with mice? I keep getting them and while my cats torture them to death, they recently left a dead one as a present for me on my jewelry tray...

JoAnn, sorry to hear about the mice! Our Clarendon had mice issues when we moved in. My wife and I have a quarterly contract with Orkin and also purchased Riddex (https://www.riddexpulse.com/) device for home and happy to report mice have been kept at bay!

i, too, have had problems with them in the past. when i had Ward Pest Control out last year for something else, i asked him and he showed me several places around the outside of the house that are probably the culprit, but...he stressed that it only takes a whole the size of a dime for them to get in. bottomline, in these houses you probably can't plug every hole. my dad suggested the d-con poison--they'll ingest it and go off and die somewhere from dehydration. because its dehydration, they supposedly won't produce any smell. i, however, have used the round d-con traps. you put a tiny bit of peanut butter in the bottom, twist the trap to set it and leave it out. the trap shows green for "set" and red for "caught". i then just throw it out. as long as i don't see them, it doesn't bother me too much. my cat (no front claws) is pretty useless. LOL

Does anyone know of any jewelers that create necklaces incorporating flowers petals from funerals?

It's not strictly local, but we just had three family heirloom watches restored and repaired by Yuri's Watches on Newbury St. He is totally old school and knows everything about old or antique watches. Works fast, too. He shares an office with a small shop called Small Pleasures. It's at the Copley stop on the green line. Cannot recommend him enough. https://www.yuriswatches.com/
Can you recommend a jeweler that repairs on fine jewelry on site? Maybe that does resetting and such? Thx!
