Does anyone know what happened to the framing place in Bradlee? I was about to start a project with them and then a couple of weeks ago they stopped answering the phone...

We like Art Deco in old town. On king street. 1508 king. They've done almost all our framing

I use Broadway Gallery. It is on General Washington Dr. as soon as you pass Denny's and see Marlos from Edsall Road. It is an industrial park. While there, drive around the park. There are lots of finds for products. Here is a sample of their work. From posters to family heirlooms. I've been with them for 20 some years. They have great framing suggestions http://www.broadwaygalleries.net/custom-framing.php

AC Moore does a great job.

I recommend KH Art & Framing on Lee Hwy and Glebe. They almost always have a $49 Groupon going. If it's expired, maybe wait a week or two, and they'll list it again. I've brought several items to them, and they do excellent work. They are really nice, too!
I'm looking for a local framing shop to have a few pieces framed. Recommendations?

I've used Big Picture Framing in Porter Square and been happy.

Walden Framer in Lexington just past the Arlington line! Ed recently rehabilitated a beautiful antique wooden mirror for me (repaired the frame & replaced the mirror) and it turned out exquisite. He also re-matted a piece of artwork that needed to be updated to a bit for a more modern look and I am planning to go back to have some wall photos framed. Highly recommended and local!!! (AND very reasonably priced) http://waldenframer.com/
Has anyone used the framing place at Bradlee Center? Thoughts?

I like KH Framing on Glebe at Lee Highway.

Let me recommend to all Broadway Gallery. Caron Broadway is a dream to work with and at reasonable rates. This is a family-owned business of many years, not a factory assembly line approach. I've spent many happy hours with Caron having all sorts of items framed. It is worth every penny. The Gallery is off I-395 at Edsall EAst on General George Washington Drive. I never go to Bradlee framers, after they asked exorbitant prices.
Dale S. replied:
Margaret, I've known the Broadway family for years. I doubt Caron would remember me but I knew her brother Barry and mother, Sue well. This is definitely the place to go if you want quality materials at a good price.

Ha! I use that battery store all the time. BTW i was super happy with the frame jobs i did at AC Moore and they have coupons.
Anne S. replied:
I've used the framing place and thought they were extremely expensive. I generally use A.C. Moore at Bailey's Crossroads for framing.
Gabriella P. replied:
We have used them for several projects. They have done a fantastic job from start to finish. Great help with picking mats and design. Beautiful work when done. Highly recommend for better pieces. Have also used AC Moore for less expensive/important pieces.

The Frame Factory off Edsall, behind Marlow Furniture. The women who work on Saturday are amazing at picking things out and it is ready in a week.
Where's the best place to get artwork framed? I've never used Big Picture Framing in the heights. Is it any good?
Kara M. replied:
I love Big Picture framing. They did a beautiful job with several family heirlooms. I believe they come with a lifetime guarantee... even if you break the glass on the frame.
Jason S. replied:
We had a good experience at Big Picture Framing.
Dana B. replied:
Big Picture Framing has done several framing projects and they have done a really nice job. The people who have helped me have had a good eye for color and style and have been extremely helpful.
