Lawrence Bircoll...he did my shoulder surgery. He is with resurgens. Great doc. He is pretty conservative, only suggests surgery if really needed. Good luck!

My husband had major shoulder surgery in May. We love his doc - Dr. Peter Symbas. FYI... Jason Schneider is a personal friend, and his specialty is hands.

Adrienne's recommendation, also known as Dr. X, is excellent. He only does shoulders and knees. I saw him for my knee but he is better known for shoulders.

Shay Womack at Resurgeons Orthopedics! He was a patient early in life which lead him to the path of MD. He gets it!

otp, but i like nonsurgical orthopedics in marietta. yes, i know that the name might make you feel meh, but they are really good. even if they don't perform any surgery for you, they really do excellent follow up and really spend time with patients. stay away from dr. letha griffin at peachtree orthopedic. as a matter of fact, just don't even go to that place. they tried to pressure me into an unnecessary surgery that actually would have further damaged my knees! also, they kept insisting on giving me anti inflammatories that not only didn't work, they caused kidney stones!

Dr. Darrel Scales .... he's up at Hamilton Mill. He has done surgery on Tyler and treated Taylor. Love their whole staff.

We use Stephen Fisher and love him! He took care of Caden after his car wreck and when he broke his hand. Has also treated Chloe', Heli, and I. He's the high school football team doc that you see on the sidelines on Friday nights! Located right off of Friendship.

Rudy Cisco is awesome, I think he sees teenagers. He's in Gainesville near the hospital.

Both my girls went to Dr. Parsons when he was in Gwinnett and now he is in Hall Co on Spout Springs near Hog Mountain Rd. Would highly recommend him.

Ortho atlanta has like twelve different offices across georgia, because their practice is so huge they can get you in for an appointment much quicker than other places. I'm sorry the receptionist was rude to you, but they come very highly recommended. I worked with ER docs for two years and ortho atlanta was the only one they would ever recommend.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with OrthoAtlanta. My family and I have been going to them for years for various injuries and they really are great. Please don't let a receptionist, who was probably having a bad day, deter you. Dr. Richard Johnston is fantastic, but when he's not available, Stephanie Dotson, PA, is equally knowledgeable and her schedule is easier to work with when you're in a pinch. And I love their new office in the Piedmont West building. Please give them a chance. I hope you get better soon!

I had mine replaced through Resurgens. They have a bunch of great doctors there and the post op care was very good in addition to the actual surgery. If they are in your network I would highly recommend them. Drs I would vouch for are Peretz, Hanna, and one other that the name escapes me at the moment. St. Joseph off glenridge on the north sid is where they usually practice but it is worth traveling for this kind of operation.
