https://interface.williamjames.edu/ - This is a free service that will help find someone close to you who takes your insurance. And who is available. They found me mine. Highly recommend it. They do all the calling for you. Interview any new therapist. Just like with any new relationship it can take time before you will know if it's a good fit. Good Luck!

Do you have a preference on the therapist? Young woman old woman young man old man?

One other resource: https://therapymatcher.wordpress.com/ This is a large practice where they take a lot of insurances and have availability: http://thriveboston.com/ Sorry I have worked in the mental health field as a Peer Specialist, which is why I know these resources. SAD sucks and I hope you get some support soon. *hug*

I wish I knew someone to recommend, but I wish you the best with your search. I can't stand the early sunsets and colder weather too.

I had great luck with Boston Evening Therapy Associates in Brookline. I'm still seeing my therapist I met through them four years later, though at a different practice.

I've heard good things about the folks at Commonwealth Psych Associates on Washington Street. If you can't get to that location, they have a couple in the city proper.

I will be wicked honest with you, you may find yourself on a waitlist and some places will require that your PCP be at the hospital you are trying to get services from. I finally got a therapist after being on a wait list for 6 months. I called around and most of the places I called such as mass general told me that unless my PCP was at mass general, or at harvard vanguard (called them too) I could not see their therapists. I would start at the link I have listed below. Hope you are able to find someone good. I battle depression and anxiety and its not fun so I totally get you
