[Kristina Bennett](http://www.offthemaptattoo.com/artists/Kristina_Bennett/) is guesting at Off The Map in Easthampton this winter, you might want to see if you can get an appointment with her? OTM is a bit far but it's one to watch, they are very concerned with quality there.

Charlie at Sacred Addition in East Bridgewater is worth the drive and wait.

If you can get up north, check out Aaron@The Ink Club in Billerica, some very friendly and talented artists there.

I used to go to [Chameleon](http://www.chameleonbodyarts.com/) in The Garage in Harvard Square for piercings and always had a good experience. Don't know about tattoos but they do free art consultations so that helps.

I (and several friends) have had ours done at Redemption Tattoo north of Porter Square. Several good artists there, mine was done by Deirdre Doyle. I've also seen excellent work at Gallery Tattoo out in Concord, but it's a haul to get out there. *edit* echo /u/NewDriverStew's comment about style, Redemption is a pretty traditional shop

Hey FB Friends - do any of you know a killer, Boston-based tattoo artist who does very clean, fine lines?

Brian Hemming at Regeneration and Jaesun Duggan at Always & Forever are both great.

Natan Alexander in Salem at Witch City Ink. The only one I'd recommend.

To echo some other folks: Regeneration in Allston. Dan Bythewood is an old friend and has done most of my sleeve. Edwin Marquez did my zombie prom queen - and Brian Hemming did my little brother's first tattoo.

I've gotten all my work done at Pumpkin Tattoo, but I can't speak to clean fine lines.
you cant really ask for a 'best tattoo artist' as all of them specialise in their own kind of art, there might be one better at doing anime than writing but then the other would be better at doing other designs, it all depends what you want done. Alot of tattoo artists will not ink you if they think they are not competant to do the design you have asked . personally i would recommend Dave The-Rave Casbolt from Rave'ing Ink in arbury court as his work is incredible and a really good all rounder, ive shopped around and he does offer the best prices and in general a very sound guy. Highly reccomended
