Go to Care.com and check them out- know a couple of people who have used them for elder and child care and LOVED them! Background checks, resumes, and interviews are so easy to do through them plus it's a great site- I used them to find a local in home pet care provider.

I highly recommend the Schoenbaum Family Center. It's a part of OSU.

For what it's worth, we found in-home care to be much more flexible. Ours doesn't make us pay for a day if we don't send the kids (many facilities do), and if we're 15 minutes later than usual it's not an extra charge we have to deal with. Compared to my friends who have kids in a facility, it seems like much less headache.

No recommendation, but whoa, that is over 2 x the [Ohio average](https://www.bizjournals.com/dayton/blog/morning_call/2016/04/so-how-expensive-is-child-care-in-ohio.html).

> I have a tour of Bright Horizons scheduled, but from researching, I think the cost is around $1600 a month which is A LOT. It's not that much. Every daycare we looked at when we first had kids was at least $1200/month for an infant. That was in the suburbs, but just about everything in Clintonville is going to be more expensive. It's assumed that you can afford it. :-)

is it a possibility to also look around the areas your jobs are in if they're not in Clintonville?

Daycare is really expensive, so the price does not surprise me. I had my kids at a Bright Horizons for 4 years before we moved and really liked them, though this was back in the Chicago area, not around here. Their learning structure should at least be the same though and I thought it was top notch. Right now I have my kids in Goddard, they are good, I would recommend them, but I will say I enjoyed Bright Horizons more. Good luck!

We use Kare a lot. They have two locations and a short waitlist. It's about 1200 a month. Kind staff and low turn over. The head infant room teacher has been in the position for about 10 years.

Even if you have babysitting experience it helps! I'd make a care.com account and checkout an agency! If you are CPR/ first aid certified, that's a bonus! it's seriously the best job I've ever had plus the pay is great!
