Anybody know a good arborist? I have a big maple in my front yard which is damaged and I'm worried it may be a danger to the house. I'd love to save the tree if...

I used [Russell](https://www.russelltreeexperts.com/) to take down a [mostly dead](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/IFJ2TAEnnNk/hqdefault.jpg) Ash tree in my backyard last year. They were able to get their crane and clamshell truck down my alley, no problem and were in and out in about 4 hours. $1500 got the job done.

http://wholetreecareohio.com/ I've used these guys and was very happy with the price/quality of work. As an aside, this is definitely an industry where you get what you pay for. Make sure whatever company you used is licensed and bonded as you want to make sure you're covered if they mess things up. If a price is too good to be true, then I wouldn't use them.

Aaron with preservation arborists was great. Have had him treat our trees in the spring and did a lot of tree trimming. Seemed excited we still have a living ash tree and walked around and gave me advice on each tree we had. http://www.preservationarborists.com/

These guys saved a damaged silver maple. We call it "franken-tree" now. :) https://www.arboristcolumbusoh.com/ They've come out to do the trimming and care ever since. Very practical and open about when a tree may not be worth saving.

[Kevin Masters Arborists](http://masterarbor.com/) are great! Used them for years.
Just had C&N tree service show up and tell me it was going to be 1200.00 to cut down a tree. I said OUCH I can't afford that... so he said "how much you looking to...

I have used Cox tree service. Great job and clean up. 614-294-1184. My boss has used this company for over 20 years. I got much better price from them over drive by companies.

http://mathewstreeservice.com/ They did an amazing job removing a huge tree from my yard last summer (stump and roots too!). Of the 4 or 5 estimates I got, they were the most reasonable as well.

C&N tree service. 937-398-6256. They are awesome and 1/3 of any price we were quoted in the past 2 yrs. Doing a lot of work around Gahanna and our neighbor used them today after our recommendation. Can't say enough wonderful things about them.
Tree Removal Recommendations? Any recommendations for less expensive tree removal services?
Thanks for your help!

Used McCullough's Tree Service to cut down an overgrown pine tree and grind the stump. Pretty fair price imo https://www.helpfortrees.com/

I used Joseph Tree Service for a complicated tree removal. They were actually one of the lowest bids despite using a crane for most of the work.

Giffin's tree service does great work at at a very reasonable price. My neighbor and I have been using them for years. For example, they recently removed 5 trees for me including stump grinding for $700. These were good sized trees in an area that wasn't easy to remove them from. I did get one other quote from another company that a diffrent neighbor had in their yard. They wanted $1,200 for the same job.
