Yes, had it for almost 20 years and I kid you not I just found a doctor who understands the thyroid in the last 6 months. Dr Stuart Glastonbury at Tweed Coast medical, truly amazing doctor! I also recommend you start reading Stop the thyroid madness and join the Australian thyroid Facebook groups too. I wouldn’t go to the Lucy Rose clinic. They have poor reviews in our thyroid groups.

If you don't mind travelling, get a GP referral to Dr Mark Daoud at Greenslopes Specialist Centre. He removed my separated spouse Thyroid, lucky cancer was in the lobes. Only symptom was a persistent cough. Then I got a persistent cough and a blood test and ultrasound had "Hashimoto disease of the Thyroid." Thyroid is the silent killer.

Dr Rachel Norman at Southport primary medical and dental. She's amazing. And very intelligent in her profession. Explains everything. I too have a spinal injury.....at T12/L1
