Dr. Dan Worrel at the Carrell Clinic. He repaired my son's arm when it was badly broken on football. He repaired a torn labrum (football) on one shoulder this past summer and is repairing the other one (halter breaking a bull) this summer. He has been an excellent doctor! 214-220-2468. They are on Central just north of Park Lane. And, we were able to do therapy in Gainesville near where we live.

I meant to reply last night but didn't have a chance. I had multiple shoulder dislocations due to ice hockey injuries in the early 2000's, I subsequently had a shoulder reconstruction (three titanium studs anchoring the labral socket in place) done in 2001 by Dr. Schott at All Star Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, at Baylor Las Colinas. http://www.allstarortho.com/ - I was referred to them by some friends who were knights (entertainers) at Medieval Times, who along with several other professional sports enterprises in the area, use this place for their sports injuries. The doc and staff were superb, knowledge, practice, and overall helpfulness was above and beyond what I expected. Remember me telling you about my insurance debacle? Dr. Schott even wrote a letter on my behalf to Aetna asking for them to increase my PT budget, as, pre-surgery PT used up the pitiful amount Aetna deemed necessary. I know it's out of the distance/driving range you are looking for, but they are well worth the trip, or at the very least, for a second opinion. I cannot recommend them enough, especially for athletic and sports-minded folks who need this type of service. Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
