Dr Branham is an amazing doctor! Only one I trust my kids with.

Wendy R. replied:
I agree Dr. Branham is the very best.
Erica M. replied:
Definitely not Dr K. Gowdar...she misdiagnosed my son for a month. Simply because of her lack of attention to detail. The report she failed to look at had the problem staring right at her.
Jami S. replied:
Did you check with Kay Gowdar?
Chierstan B. replied:
Dr. Patel is wonderful.
Amanda W. replied:
Mt. Zion Family Care. They are GPs but I love them there and take all my kids to them.

Hi moms! Looking for 2things...a new pediatrician (baby#2 is due in a few weeks) and a dentist for my 2.5 yr old.....any suggestions???
Anne H. replied:
She's off Clairmont, near Mason Mill Park www.ashpoledental.com
Katie E. replied:
My husband is a pediatric dentist. His name is Jonathan Eaton at www.dreaton.com
Cheryl K. replied:
Highly recommend Oakhurst Pediatrics in Decatur. Our dentist is in Midtown (Colony Square), but he and his staff are great with kids. Dr. Donald Ross.
Gina L. replied:
I second the Oakhurst Pediatrics recommendation! They are fantastic!
Catherine J. replied:
Oakhurst Pediatrics and Dr. Brown with Intown Dental Care
Zarya F. replied:
Oakhurst!!!!! I'm a physician and had high standards. Originally I was at Piedmont and just not happy with the level of individual attention (especially for mom!!!). Dr Kanaan far exceeded my idea of what a pediatrician should be - she's incredible!!!
Anne H. replied:
We just took our (at the time) 2-year-old to our dentist, Dr. Ashpole. She and her hygienist were great with him. He still talks about Mr. Thirstie!
Katie K. replied:
Can't recommend Oakhurst Pediatrics enough
Linda F. replied:
Dr. Herrmann for pedi hands down. I wish there was a grown up version of her for me! She's very keen on holistic things as well as nutrition. Dr. Ben Jerigan is our family dentist and is awesome with kids. Both are downtown Decatur.
Cindy I. replied:
One really good family dentist is Dr. John Uetsuki. His practice is on Henderson Mill Road in Tucker.
Sora C. replied:
I second Dr. Ashpole! Her practice is family (not pediatric) but I didn't think my LO would know what she was missing and she had a great 1 st dentist experience with Dr. Ashpole. They let her play with the dental tools those early visits and get a toy at the end.
Looking for reccomendations on children's dentist and pediatrician for my 4 y/o, who takes peachcare for kids. Thanks !
Laticia L. replied:
I don’t know about dentists but we go to DeKalb pediatrics on Winn way.
Laneshia C. replied:
Hi. I️ just Opened my own pediatric dental practice. We are in the process of becoming a provider with certain insurances. Please check out our website www.campsmilesdental.com. Or call the office tomorrow at 404-381-1840. I’m not certain if it’s peachcare but the office manager will be able to let you know.
Hi neighbors, I'm pregnant with my first (due in March) and looking for pediatrician recommendations in Decatur. Oakhurst Pediatrics is on my list, but I wanted options...
Steve F. replied:
Our two boys (5 & 7) report nothing but good things about DeKalb Pediatrics, at 350 Winn Way.
Lauren H. replied:
Dekalb Peds. We see Dr. Pollack for well visits but we're happy with all the docs. One of my kids had asthma and the level of care (after hours phone and in office) was just amazing. They coordinate well with specialists and CHOA as well.
Danielle D. replied:
We love Rainbow Pediatrics!
Lauren D. replied:
So Oakhurst pediatrics doesn't take any new BCBS patients (only existing ones) --just an FYI.
Lisa P. replied:
Clairmont Pediatrics
Lauren C. replied:
A second vote for Childrens Medical Group. We see Dr King and are very happy (and vaccinated
Amanda F. replied:
Children's medical group is excellent. Our kids have been going there to see Dr. Shu for years. She is fantastic and knows our kids so well.
Nicole K. replied:
All three of my kids have been at Dekalb Peds since they were newborns. Love them!
Gordon B. replied:
Dr. Jennifer Shu with Children's Medical. They now have an office in downtown Decatur. She's great!
Laura T. replied:
Last I heard (I asked Dr. Kanaan a few months ago) they were taking a limited number of newborns only, so definitely give Oakhurst Pediatrics a call.
Bekki P. replied:
Congrats! We have a 3 week old and are going to children's medical group and really like them so far. Have heard great things about Oakhurst pediatrics, but they weren't taking new patients with our insurance.
Brooke G. replied:
I know this is not in Decatur, but we absolutely love Piedmont Pediatrics in Midtown. We work downtown and my son's school is in Midtown so that location has worked well for us. We see Dr. Bramwell (and I know several others that do as well. One of my friends actually still takes her son for his checkups to Dr. B even though their family moved to Macon!)
Akila M. replied:
We love Children's Medical Group and they have a Decatur office. They are amazing. Dr. Shu is the best.
Moving to Decatur the first of July and looking for recommendations on pediatricians in the area. Have had a really hard time finding one that's taking new patients. I...
Chris R. replied:
LOVE Dr Herrmann - Rainbow Kids Pediatric
Meaghan F. replied:
Oakhurst Pediatrics are awesome! But...I don't think they're accepting new patients. Worth a call to ask though b/c we loooooove Dr. Kanaan!
Gina H. replied:
Check out Clairmont Pediatrics.
Kate T. replied:
We have loved Oakhurst Pediatrics. Dr. Jessica Doyle is the greatest: so smart, but also calm and reassuring, great with kids.
Alisha T. replied:
Intown pediatrics is the best!! I highly recommend. The docs are great and the nurses line is always super helpful
Mark S. replied:
This group has been the pediatricians for both my children for 11 years. Great practice and great people! http://dekalbpeds.com/
Whitney Z. replied:
We have been with Children's Medical Group for 9 years. We still go to the Clairmont/85 location, but there is now a Decatur location, too. We see Dr. King, but have also seen Dr. Rudnicki as well as the NP and the PA over the years.
Marcy C. replied:
Dr Cho at Clairmont pediatrics sounds like she would be a really good fit for you
Kathleen V. replied:
I would get on the list for Oakhurst Peds and use Dekalb Peds as backup. We have been at Dekalb Peds for 10 years and the doctors are great. I would switch to Oakhurst purely for the convenience
Kristen S. replied:
We have loved Intown Pediatrics (kids are 10 and 7).
Cherie S. replied:
Dr. Carol Hermann Rainbow Pediatrics, she is also a functional medicine doctor. Both my boys now ages 23 and 13 have gone to her since she opened her practice in 2000. She can't be beat and is amazing. She came into the office on a Saturday during the H1N1 outbreak to see my youngest - fortunately he only had strep and not H1N1.
We are looking for a pediatrician. Any recommendations?
Thank you!
Lindsey N. replied:
Piedmont Pediatrics is great. We've seen several of the doctors there (DR. Griffith is our main doc), and they're all great.
Suntaree C. replied:
Piedmont Pediatrics at Piedmont Hospital.
Lauren G. replied:
We see Dr. Griffith at Piedmont Pediatrics. I also really like Dr. Bramwell at that practice.
Lynn K. replied:
Piedmont Pediatrics, Dr. Allison Koenig, Anna loves her! Always a great experience there.
Cynthia M. replied:
Dr Julie Segal on mt Vernon. Awesome real. She has young kids as do the other docs.
Cyndi Z. replied:
Clairmont Pediatrics(404) 321-4567 - Very down to earth. Love them, no scheduling an appointment when my child is sick, just show up at 9AM and they will always see you:)
Any recommendations for pediatricians in Decatur? We are looking at DeKalb Pediatric Center and Oakhurst Pediatrics. Thank you!
Sarah A. replied:
We love Oakhurst Pediatrics, but I'm not sure that they're taking new patients. Worth a call. I know several folks who love children's medical group, and they just opened a new decatur location.
Jill W. replied:
Children's medical group is great- we've seen Kevin Colton since my daughters were born. The new Decatur location is super convenient. We will still travel to century center to see dr Colton for well checks but have been happy with everyone in Decatur location for sick visits. Hoping Colton picks up some shift in Decatur....
Amanda F. replied:
Children's Medical Group! My kids have been going to Dr. Shu for years. She is also an author and a pediatric health consultant for CNN.
