Use booking.com and see what's available near the venue. You can uber in Boston. Do you have a buddy or friend to travel with?
I can! The Bristol! I love it! For beaches, go to Coronado. You can take a water Taxi to Coronado Island which is fun. I was going to text all of this to you the other day and forgot, sry! Hotel Coronado is beautiful but VERY expensive and not as close to things. Bristol is right downtown and close to everything. you can walk to stores and even the harbor.

Can anyone recommend an affordable, family friendly, nice hotel near the beach in LA?
Ruby N. replied:
Zuma is a good beach to play at for the day - like picnic and swimming. Venice for sightseeing. Santa Monica has a pier with rides and places to eat. Of course you can always swim at those beaches too, but Zuma is my fave.

Cheap: Hotel Hermosa. Not on the beach but about a 10 minute walk. Close: Beach House Hermosa. http://www.beach-house.com/hermosa-beach/index.aspx

Anaheim is great, if you want to visit Orange County. Huntington beach is great if you are looking for a Daytona Beach-like experience. Orange County has a gargantuan shopping mall with high-end stores you might find in Beverly Hills. It is almost like being somewhere, without the distraction. It also has the "Great Park" Los Angeles, of course, has Beverly Hills, beaches, original restaurants, boutiques by the mile, the Getty, LACMA, MOMA the Hammer, the Norton Simon, The Huntington, Griffith Park, and stuff you find in a huge, bustling metropolis. Orange County is a nice place to live and work, but unless DisneyLand is your destination, it is a boring place to visit, free breakfast or not.

Huntington Beach area is great if u can get a hotel near the pier that would be fun. Also instead of a hotel consider renting a condo from vacationrentals.com or a similar site. Also Newport beach is great too. These are all in Orange County south of LA. If you want to stay up in LA try Redondo the portofino hotel is on the water. Also if u have not been to Vince beach take the kids watch the spray paint painters and street performers
Cheapest airline to fly to Miami in January? Any hotels anyone recommend? Hopefully can get some cheap cyber Monday airline deals.

Southwest Airlines. And stay in homestead fl it's an suburb of Miami
Philihp B. replied:
hipmunk.com is all you need for finding a flight. The following airlines suck: Spirit, AirTran, Frontier. US Air has some pretty dumpy planes too, but they're merging with American in a month or so. Delta is nice but you'll probably go through ATL which is a shitty airport. Southwest has a stupid check-in game you have to play if you want to get a good seat. United has the most attractive flight attendants, and are the only domestic carrier with any meaningful number of 787 Dreamliners. If Virgin has a route, take that. They never do though.
