Go to your primary care doc and ask for a referral to a neuro psychologist. They can do testing to see which part of your brain needs help. If that doesn't work call Craig hospital and see if they can recommend someone to help. Craig docs were great with my daughters

Craig Hospital is great and if you go to the website for BIAC.org there are tons of resources. I work for CBP-Centers in Colorado Springs. We are a brain therapy center treating brain injuries, especially TBI and PTSD. We have our Grand Opening next week all week long and offer free consultations with one initial free treatment session. I can tell you from my own treatment and watching others complete treatment that the change is tremendous. Feel free to check our website out cbp-centers .com or message me. Keep searching for help and best of luck to you!

Craig Hospital in Englewood Colorado is one of the best in the country. Dr. Adam Weintraub or Dr. Balazy or their Neuropsychologists are listed in the website. Great resources there.

Ok, Facebook friends in the N Denver area. Anybody have a neurologist you'd recommend?

I see Alexander Feldman from advanced neurological. They are at PSL
Lisa C. replied:
Trevor McNutt at Neurological consultants. They're at Rose.
Ginny S. replied:
I see Dr. Trent McNutt in Rose hospital building. He is very good and is very personable. He always meets his patients at the waiting room, and brings them to his office himself. It really helps to put you at ease the way he takes care of his patients.

Ronald Murray, 10103 RidgeGate Pkwy, Lone Tree, CO 80124 (303) 706-0002. He is amazing, and also comes to the waiting room to get you. My father goes to him as well, and my father is a physician that was medical director of Swedish and Porter Hospitals. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, gentle, and takes the time to listen to you. It is very far, but worth it for me! 4

My neurologist, Laura Strom, is the top neurologist in the University of Colorado Hospital practice. Her speciality is epilepsy but she's incredibly well rounded in her field. http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/departments/neurology/Faculty/Pages/Strom.aspx

I take my dog to Dominion Animal Hospital in Herndon. They are so loving and have discount days on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Let me know if you need the phone number.

We are looking into carecredit.com but we barely scrape by each month as it is, so having someone else to pay each month is going to be very hard. I think we might be able to pull it off if I stop going to physical therapy which costs us $80 a week. I would rather deal with my pain then watch him cry in pain.

University of Colorado hospital. Anshutz campus. I've been going there for six years now and I love the whole neurology department.

Another vote for UCH Anshutz, Neurology Department!
The main number to call there is: 720-848-2080; or you can go to www.uch.edu to learn more about the doctors who are working there.
I've been using them since about 2008 or 2009, and have seen a number of their neurologists, epileptologists and neurosurgeons, and had an eight-person team working on my case for about 4 years straight.
I've used their Neurosciences department, their Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Neuropsychiatric Unit, ICU, have had numerous extended stays in their Inpatient Pavillion, and have been the ER quite a few times over the years. I'm also on a first name basis with almost every scanning or monitoring device on campus :)
They've all been fantastic (with the exception of the ER). Prepare yourself for the basement Radiology department if you need an MRI; it gets *cold* down there!
The security there has been kind of iffy, in the way that, depending on which department you're utilizing, the guards might never have seen a seizure before, or know how to properly react when confronted with one.
The ER is the worst. One of the guards there thought I was tripping on PCP because I fought off 6 people for close to 10 hours whilst in a status epilepticus event, even though my neurologist was on the other end of a a phone call - on speakerphone - literally screaming for the guard to back the fuck off of me, but things become much better as you move to the neurology and neuroscience clinics.
My only other complaint is that all of their pharmacies are terrible. I've found that it's much easier to use some place closer to home, like Walgreens, King Soopers, Costco, etc., especially with all of the ongoing construction and light rail extention work that you have to contend with right now.
Hit me up for more info about my time spent there, or some numbers to call or people to contact if you'd like to.
Stay strong!
Can you recommend some neurologists who are in the Denver area who've dealt with anti-nmdar?
The I. replied:
There are two names on this list. I cannot make recommendations, as this list has been crowd-sourced but they are doctors that have treated at least one patient with anti-NMDA.
